When I was at the BMW dealer looking at these and he told me the car only had a 4cyl I nearly spit in his face in discuss -- but I drove it and the 435i, and the 428i was just more fun as it's better balanced and you can really throw it around. But in any case, I was coming a Cadillac CTS with over 300hp and before that a Pontiac GTO with 400hp, and 0-60, the 428i was certainly faster than the CTS and not that much slower than the GTO. Now 60-120, the GTO would literally throw you back in your seat and even the CTS felt quicker than the 428i, but it's not often you're flooring it at 80mph - so the 428i felt way faster than the numbers would indicate, but I think it's just the way they tuned the car, so the power is much more usable.

What an uninformed comment. If this is a base 4 series, that means it's running a 4cyl engine with 241hp. Name a muscle car out now that is slower than this.

Who compares the 4 series to muscle cars? That's the point I meant to make, but looking back, I didn't really articulate that very well. Muscle cars suck? That's personal opinion and cannot be taken as absolute.

Wow...2 years ago when i bought my 02 M3 coupe, it was not as popular. Now it's getting so popular that a lot of videos have comments underneath them telling them to review the E46 M3. It is IMHO one of the best cars ever made, and i'm glad it's getting more popular now. Vehicle Virgins channel searched for an E46 M3 for the longest time and finally did a review on people's request. I hope he gets a 6 speed manual coupe to review. A convertible and a SMG or a combination of both would make for a horrible M3 to review. Trust me, I've driven all the combinations before gunning for a 6MT coupe. Cheers !

I do t consider myself lucky as nuh as fortunate. I too had dreams at an early age of 15 of the e46 M3 in Laguna seca blue. I owned many cars prior to the M3 but once I was able to afford an M3, along with my college tuition, I bit the bullet ans never looked back. I got exactly what I wanted, an 02 Laguna Seca blue M3 coupe with a 6 speed manual. The video is on my channel. My brother has a twin turbo rhd supra and he's living his childhood dream. If you work hard and stay focused, keep faith in the higher power above, you will be able to achieve any dream. Who knows, you may end up with a much better car than my e46 M3. It is one of the greatest driving cars ever made, and I don't care what people have to criticize about. Follow your heart and dreams, don't listen to ppl on the net or reliability statistics. It depends , if you want kind of a cruiser just take the 4er but if you kind of a driver go with the 2er . Plus the 2er is smaller than the 4er so if you're going to use the back seat a lot take a 4er . :D

Hell yes trade that fusion. The 428i has good gas mileage, is sexy, and affordable. WRX doesn't compare to the luxury the 428i. I don't know what you're in to but for me I'm a more luxurious type of person.

I learned how to drive a stick in a Geo Metro -- and nearly got killed 3 times in 30 minutes. What I learned was to just buy an automatic. Apparently I've read the manual in the Metro is a real piece of garbage and pretty much any other car is easier to drive as a stick - but I'll never know. Thanks Geo for my now near 30 years of hating stick shifts.

@@rodmunch69 no, there was nothing wrong with it, it was your driving that made you hate it. It was actually really easy compared to other manual transmission cars I've owned.
