The older figures are better. The plastic had more " forgiveness " , flexibility. The new blue figures break to easily and I don't like the color. Go back to grey for wermacht,blue grey for luftwaffe,od green for american and khaki brown for british...... see, I solved it lol..... thanks for the video, oh bye the way, I too like the " red " boxes, they look great ! 😁👍❤🇺🇸

I wish that Airfix would make their soldier figures from the same material that EMHAR made theirs from - it can be bent, and stays the way you bent it - arms, legs, etc., and it takes paint beautifully, unlike the polythene used by Airfix, which you have to 'prime' with watered down PVA glue so it will take paint without it flaking off as soon as it dries.

I have some German soldiers from WWII, I also have American, British, Russian and Japanese too. The Japanese are my favourites. I have some American independence soldiers that have some French troops too!

I have a few of the target box soldiers. The relative scale was a bit off. The German infantry soldiers were much bigger than the Africa Korps and the British 8th army

Nice review! I'm old enough to have been able to buy lots of the Airfix 1/32 scale 1970s sets. In the 1980s I sort of stopped buying and playing with them but I always kept them. So I never had the later released WW2 British and Italian Infantry sets. A couple of months ago I finally acquired the British Infantry, the red Hornby set. Not sure but the brown figures seem to have almost the right uniform color and hue? Nevertheless I'm thinking about painting them.

Airfix has pretty much abandoned its focus on toy soldiers they are focused on their model kits.The material and amount of soldiers you get now reflects that.The older softer poly plastic material must be more expensive than the K-resin as its called they use now.While the hard plastic soaks up paint better the brittle plastic breaks easy.I have been mad at getting broken weapon tips from shipping lately.

Some of my absolute favourites in Airfix 1/32 figures is the "Modern British infantry" and "Bundeswehr infantry", produced in the 80´s I think. Do you have them?

A couple of months ago I bought the Hornby ''red'' 1/32 British Infantry 14 figures set. The figures are brown. I never had the original Airfix 29 figures set that was released in the 1980s. Does anyone know which colour they had? Standard green?

The blue of those German Paratroops is awful.

I've been saying this from the get go the current Airfix is dung. I know my language is harsh but it's just the truth. I brought a few new ones when they first came out. I ended up giving them away they were that poor in quality. 70s early 80s were the golden age my opinion

The newer versions are obviously not as good as the originals, that dark shiny blue plastic is dreadful. Whoever thought this was a good idea, obviously doesn't like the product.

No comparison. New ones are total crap! Airfix need to sort our the clowns who are manufacturing the new soldiers, and Quick. I won't buy the new ones and i'm sure lots of people feel the same way.
