2 жыл бұрынThis is my review of the Amaranthine Books Transylvania Edition of Bram Stoker's classic Gothic horror limited to 666 pieces.
Amaranthine books is a publisher based in Croatia that creates lavish, thematic and well made limited edition books; mainly classic works of literature.
This sold out edition is has some gorgeous illustrations and cover details made with illuminescent ink that glows in the dark.

Torn on this edition, I love the concept but I think it’s the cover material that puts me off, wish they went with a red leather instead

I agree! I understand the artistic vision of opulence, and I suppose it's easier from a vegan perspective, but I would also have preferred leather!

Today, I saw this book (still new in plastic foil) standing in a glass shelf in a little store on the courtyard of Bran Castle (Romania). It cost 1990 lei, which is about €402,- euros with the current balance. If I wasn’t a student, I would’ve definitely bought it. So, if someone is looking for a new copy you can find it there.

That's a very fair deal. I imagine someone with some extra souvenir cash will pick it up eventually, and be in for a very nice experience!
