SAME!! I FELL HEAD OVER HEELS INLOVE WITH THE PRESSED CHROME FLAKES! I NEED LIKE 10 BACK UPS OF HEAVEN LOL IT BLOWS ME AWAY HOW IT CAN LOOK PINK WITH A HINT OF BLUE, THEN TEAL, THE YELLOW GOLD, THEN EMERALD, THE PURPLE...😍😍😍 Haha my husband literally thought I had lost my mind as I ran around the house into different rooms holding my hand under different lights and lamps and cackling like a little demented lunatic over all the amazing shifts!! I need a entire palette of nothing but those shades!!!!! But I see alot of negative reviews on IG and sephora ppl complaining about them, much I found them easy to work with just need to break the out layer and not apply it on a wet base..I also think having the AMAZING brush set that came with it from Danessa Myricks make application no different then applying a regular eyeshadow, the rubber picks it right up and lays it down plus helps if you want to use it for cut creases and liner...Overall I love the palette soo much and I just need more pressed Chroma Flakes!!!

Dude! I had to wait a couple of months for this because of finances, but it's now making its seemingly-snail-like way towards me as I write this!! (It's not taking long, I'm just so excited about using it finally!) Actually, it was between this palette or the Odin's Eye Christmas duo for this month, and I WISH I'd gotten the latter first, because they sold out *immediately*, with no restock, and I'm heartbroken and kind of actually pissed about it. The first colour stories from the brand that really speak to me (besides Giant Wolves which is also long gone) and they're gone! A bunch given away in PR that'll probably be used a few times then decluttered in a video next fall!! Grrrrr!!! Hopefully they'll do more like that, and I can finally take the plunge and try out this brand everyone screams about. The reason I waited so long for Lightwork 4 is because I decided to go Pat McGrath crazy in September/October. I couldn't not; the sale was too awesome. There's actually a whole backstory with my PMG haul. In late August/early September, I decided to try and find a gently-used/only-swatched Mothership on Poshmark, because I was kinda-pretty broke at the time. I'd never tried her products before, and I've *really* wanted to for a long time. If I'd only taken just a fraction of the money I've spent on ColourPop or Boxycharm products, that still sit unopened, and gotten some PMG instead!? Stupid, stupid, stupid!! Oh well; too late for pointless repining, as Atwood says. Anyway. I found an untouched/unswatched Divine Rose i, and with shipping, it came to like, $137CDN. A new Mothership is $175CDN before tax/customs, so I was definitely saving *some* money. I hit the Purchase button, then I waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, after, like, 2 weeks, I knew it wasn't happening. The seller said in comments that she also had it on FB marketplace, for slightly less. I managed to track it down on there, but something about the FB post I found seemed off, somehow. IDK; my Spidey senses went off bigtime for some reason. It was probably a scam to begin with. So, luckily I went with Pmark, and was able to get a refund. While I'd been waiting for the "Your package has shipped!" email from Pmark, I'd been regularly stalking PMGs website, mooning over motherships. Suddenly, just as my refund from Pmrk was being processed, the PMG website began trumpeting about their Fall VIP Sale! I could get a brand new Mothership of my choice for only $4 more than the refund I just got from Poshmark! I ripped down to my bank and deposited $5 in loose change, so I'd have enough in my account. I jumped back into my car and ordered a palette right then and there. I decided to go with Subliminal. I figured I'd begin at the beginning. I could also use some of the shades as contour, highlight, and brow powder, because I'm frosty af when it comes to underlying pigment, and that palette is predominantly cool neutral; a lilac and blue-based dream. I drove home all blissed out, my bank account containing less than two dollars again. A few days went by, and there still weren't any shipping details popping up in my inbox. Finally, someone from PMG customer care reached out to inform me that my palette had sold out just as I'd purchased it. They were waiting on new stock from the lab, but they weren't sure how long that would take. I could wait, and if the lab shipment didn't arrive within a certain timeframe I'd be automatically refunded, or I could be refunded immediately, then get a different Mothership. I opted to wait, because who wouldn't want a superfresh, hot-off-the-presses Mothership? The amazing person I emailed back and forth with was so kind, rad, and helpful. She assured me that if they had to refund me, that I could get another, different palette for the same sale price, even if the sale had ended. So I waited. And lurked on PMG, sighing over other options. On payday, the sale was still going strong, so I decided to throw fiscal responsibility to the wind, and go for a 2 palette bundle. I was getting 2 palettes for only like, $40 more than one would usually be. They always get me with that kind of thing!🤣 I went with Huetopian Dream, and, on a whim, decided to try Bronze Seduction. I don't usually wear warm bronze-y shades, but something inside told me to get it instead of one of the Divine Rose pallettes (I'm still gonna get ii; it looks way more exciting than i, even though the first DR is beautiful. That multichrome in DRii calls to me like a siren song, tho. I digress, again.) The 2 Motherships arrived, and I was over the moon!! The packaging on MV was all ripped up, so the same wicked-good rep gave me a 10% refund, and gave me some ideas on how to repair it, so the resulting cosmetic package cosmetic surgery was almost invisible. Then, Subliminal showed up. So I now have 3 Motherships! The craziest part? I thought MViiii (Huetopian) would be my favourite, followed by Mi, *then* MV. Nope. Bronze Seduction is my favourite of the three! I'm totally in love with it!! It's *perfect*. Definitely not as warm as I thought, and I ADORE the looks I get out of it! Huetopian is second. The special shades are, of course, amazing, but the rest? Beautiful, obviously, but there's a fair amount of repetition, especially with the two rose-copper shimmery shades. In person, the colour story is also more coppery/rose-gold than the pink/gold it appears to be on the site. The multichrome is a little.....the formula maybe needs tweaking? I have multichromes from tiny indie brands that blow it out of the water. If you're looking at the palette top-down, the multichrome looks soooo close to those two aforementioned almost-identical shimmers, it looks like the palette has 3 redundant colours. Until you shift the light and the multi flips, that is. The formula for everything else is, of course, spectacular, though. Don't get me wrong....The multichrome is good, too, it's just not as.... emollient or powerfully vibrant as others? This could be intentional, though, because it certainly is softer and more wearable: especially on more textured lids, I'd imagine. For me, Subliminal comes in last of the 3. It's stunning, blends itself, and is an excellent everyday palette, but it's slightly less-mind-blowing when compared to her later work. The shade I thought I could contour with is slightly too dark for my complection, because I'm a ghost. I still love them all fiercely; this is just my personal ranking so far. So, back to Danessa. I figured, "I'll wait til Black Friday, and scoop up Lightwork 4 on sale!!!" As if. Paid full price; got a branded hand mirror as a gift. Don't you love it when brands do that? /S "Here! This is our special gift to you! It's got our logo plastered all over it! Yup: you're paying us for the privilege of freely advertising our products for us! You're welcome!!!" 🤣 That being said, Danessa Myricks seems like a truly exceptional human being. She gives off this vibe .... Like an aura of joy, genuineness, kindness, passion for her art, inner peace, and a sense of strength, but through love? If that makes sense? Positive, secure, kind, strength as opposed to cutthroat, throw-your-weight-around strength. Having never met her in person, I could be wrong; she could be a total stone-cold ASPD con artist who can put this super kind, peaceful, głowy affect on like a mask. I don't get that feeling at all, though. My gut tells me the former is true. The latter is just my brain being suspicious and weird, as per usual. I'm SUUUUPER excited about this palette, though, and I cannot wait! The few products I do have of hers are superbly crafted, top to bottom. Even the packaging is beautifully engineered! The cream colour palettes with the slightly frosted lid that has super-strung magnets on each corner, so you can open it, like, 4 different ways? Amazing! I have The Primaries. I could totally create my own custom, perfect foundation color using her Original Beauty Oil and that palette! Have I? No, I'm too lazy. But I have the option!! Okay, this is a whole novel, now. I should really just, like, start a blog, or finally write my books that have been floating around in my head since forever. Depression is a hell of a thing, though. I'm barely getting out of bed, showering, or using my giant makeup and skincare hoard lately, let alone making grand plans. Ugh. Shit's gonna turn around really soon though. Amazing things are literally, actually, really headed my way, as I write this. I've finally manifested The BIG Thing I've been working on for.....a decade? I'm so grateful and so lucky. Hey Emily! 👋 I wear all kinds of wild color many days out of the week (although I’m starting to appreciate some neutrals here and there), so this palette is definitely up my alley. The chroma flakes I am a bit apprehensive about since I am 43, and they will most likely show texture. However, I’m getting to the point that I don’t really care. I’m a big advocate for embracing age and imperfections. Also don’t feel like you have to apologize for always doing a nude lip. We all have our preferences. It looks gorgeous on you! 🤗 I love a nude lip and that cover girl lipstick is slightly too light on me but when I pair with my favorite lipliner (NYX peekaboo neutral - a drugstore dupe for CT pillow talk BTW), It’s perfect. Honeyed Bloom from CG is stunning too as well. I’m still asking for this palette for Christmas just to see if I can get it as a gift instead of spending the money on it. 😂😂😂 This look is STUNNNNING. May I ask - do you use a reflector for your videography set up? I’m just curious because it always looks like there’s a golden light being bounced off of you, and I love the look of it!

Adept cosmetics also has some awesome palettes with multichromes for a fraction of the price. Plain Jane and Heather Austin palettes are beautiful, and I'm going to buy all the others at some point.

hey i have a question how do you get the gorgeous chromes and shimmers to really pop? do you use her color fix under the chrome's and shimmers even regular shadows how do i make shadows pop. my primer doesnt work so what should i use on my eye lid under my shadows to make them pop. what medium do i want to use for just regular shimmer shadows for example pat mcgrath

I know the palette is not ideal for this but is it possible to use a soft brush in the colors and get a soft wash of color on the eye lid vs a dense look?

Hi Emily! I love your eyeshadow today. It reminds me of a peacock. I agree with you that if you don't wear that kind of makeup often then it wouldn't be worth the price. But if you are a makeup artist such as yourself, you should have this in your arsenal. How often do you change your makeup each day? I know I would change mine more than once a day depending on what I was doing. Take care! Blessings! (fyi - I say Blessings from a spiritual background and not a religious background. I am a lazy eye makeup girl and still had to have this. I used gift cards so didn’t feel bad treating myself. I can’t do these amazing looks like you or other MuAs but these shadows are so soft, I swipe a color on with my finger and can then add lighter in the corner and/or chroma flakes. The color shifting in these just makes it look amazing and as if I did hard work. The water activated blue is 🤌🏼 for a liner look. ✨🪩
