My review of the Olimpia Splendid Dolceclima Air Pro 14 Portable Air Conditioner, which is designed in Italy but made in China. Lots of people use it to cool server rooms, small apartments, etc. See my setup, different functions and my general impressions.

*Love this unit! Using upstairs in my sons bedroom **Fastly.Cool** and he’s finally able to be comfortable upstairs without me freezing downstairs. Works for more sqft than expected!*

Tip for the window bracket 2:12 I used those plastic coated ties you get with power cords/cables etc. one of the brackets has little holes on the side. So I popped the tie thru and just twisted in place. Works fine. You could use a tiny screw or wire too.

To say that there is no way to hold the sections of the window infill together other than using tape or something is just wrong. They provide plugs that slot into rows of holes so that any window height can be adjusted to. You probably threw them away not understanding what they were for.

Man you REALLY need to close that window with the plastic that give you for that purpose or buy one, leaving it opened like that you are losing a freaking amount of efficiency

Hello fear we also use it as a heating blower since the remote control goes from 17 to 30 degrees?? what should I do to put it in heating mode thank you

Did it come with a pealable transparent foil on the control panel/screen? Also did it come with 3 different additional filters or 3 same ones (black ons)?

only when you need to use it as a dehumidifier

No, unless it's being used as a dehumidifier it removes condensate through the air output tube

When you see "F1" on the LCD - do it. It evaporates most of the water and throw it out in the window with the hot air.

There are 2 filters on the back which can be accessed and cleaned

Does yours shut off after 20 mins or so on the standard cooling mode?

I know you didn't ask me but mine keeps the main fan on at all times unless I turn it off myself or through the timer. The compressor first and then the exhaust condenser fan both turn off but only every now and then as the ac keeps reaching the set temperature.

My one heats and cools. Have one one set to 18 Degrees as its getting warmer over here where I live. Im sure if its set to 17 its the lowest setting it can go to it will turn of only venting outside. Hope this helps.

It has a quiet (quieter) mode which the reviewer failed to discover as he thought that the crossed out speaker icon was a child lock. I guess that’s what happens when a reviewer doesn’t bother to read the instruction manual. Having said that, yes it’s fairly noisy (they all are) but the quiet mode makes some difference. I measured the difference using my decibel app with the phone placed on my pillow about 2.5m away. Normal mode, fan speed 1 was 56db and quiet mode was 52db which is reasonable. I assumed that I wouldn’t be able to sleep either but, to my surprise, I did and that was on normal mode as I was too lazy/tired to get up and press the quiet button.
