Thank you for the video. Great bikes but there are expensive, and they don’t come with the paddles. I hope Trek drops the price on these bikes so hopefully I can buy one.

Really nice paint jobs. Just surprised to see Segafredo branding on RSL as according to Trek website it is just on SLR pictures. RSL is more aggresive than many race bikes. I would really love to ride this bike but I would need all the spacers it comes with (I guess it is 1cm headset cover + 4cm of spacers) and not sure it is a great idea.... Did you have a chance to ride both bikes? Is RSL more snappy than SLR up the hill? Thanks!

The RSL is one of the most reactive, snappy bikes I’ve ridden. It’s a very quick bike on the hills

@@Wheelworxrob Many thanks! There are not many information about the RSL version so I really appreciate any insight. I still don´t know what to expect from RSL compared to race bikes I know. It is slightly longer and with lower BB which should stabilise the ride a bit but then its fork trail is the most aggresive I know (much more then Emonda which quite a twitchy/reactive bike). That´s why I have doubts whether riding it with all the spacers doesn´t make it too twitchy, more than usual race bikes. If the bike is slamned with long stem it is nothing to consider but with full spacers (headset cover + 4cm) and 100mm stem I don´t know...

@@Wheelworxrob So you think it has similar reactivity to Emonda? I have experience with Emonda SLR and Domane SLR (gen 4). Emonda is much harsher ride but a great climber. SLR is very comfortable, the most comfortable bike I have ever tried, riding great while sitting but appreciate steady pace. All good on the flats but once you want to stand and climb I had a feeling I was just pulling the bike behind me rather then below me so I rather sat again and kept the pace (and it was not a heavy bike at 7.5 kgs all in). The theory is that after a long day in the saddle you are actually faster on the Domane being less beaten but just a little bit more uphill capability like Emonda and Domane SLR would be georgeous. So I wonder if RSL has it...

@@hannawald2 it’s a very good mix of the best features of Emonda, liveliness and Domane, comfort, as you suggest.

@@hannawald2 I haven’t ridden it with stackers so can’t speak to how that will affect the handling, I have mine slammed and it’s stable but definitely a reactive bike

Trek will confuse new riders..the SLR vs RSL...its crazy because the SLR has always been the lighter race bike in the emonda, domane and madone line up..the RSL name was used on their race handlebars, seats and wheels by bontrager...I think the RSL is just a frame build in the domane line up..

Interesting point re RSL and SLR being confusing to new riders but I think the RSL is definitely aimed at more experienced riders who have a very specific requirement. I’m not sure what you mean by it just being a frame build in the Domane line up? It’s a very different frame to either the SL or SLR Domane

I had to have a little chuckle at the comment ‘it’s crazy light’ 7.56 kilos without pedals is a tank in my world 😂

I guess weights are all relevant, I'd be interested if your comparison is like for like? ie; are you talking about an all road, disc brake bike running 30 or 32 mm tyres etc like this one? Or are you comparing to a superlight climbing model or a rim brake bike? We've built Emonda's as light as 5.6kg so maybe calling it superlight isn't accurate, I guess it would me better to say it's a lightweight all road bike. But either way I would ride this RSL over the rim brake superlight Emonda any day. The ride quality just doesn't compare to the latest models.
