I’m a little late to the party but this review is still extremely relevant, thank you. I’ve five bullets now, two pristine, two mostly weathered with wiped clean branding and one fully weathered, a mixed rake you could say. Even two years on, prices are still surprisingly affordable, averaging around the £35.00 mark, thanks again, a review backing up my purchases.

Best value models these days are Dapol, Oxford Rail and Accurascale. Accurascale are a revelation. For only £25 to £30 per wagon the detail is superb. For most absurdly overpriced models see Hornby Drax Biomass wagons (£150!) and Heljan BOC tankers at about £75 each. PS I have one pristine silver, silver bullet but agree with you that the brown ones look better.

Absolutely Alan, just glad we seem to have more choice these days. Dapol have been delivering good value wagons for a while and Accurascale are worthy competitors

Hi, great informative review, I have the mirror chrome version of this wagon, I’m not a great fan of weathering to be fair but these wagons do look nice, the prices of these wagons not are extremely high now, I’ve seen these weathered versions for £45 plus now. Dapol produce some excellent wagons, probably is that they don’t do re-runs so I guess you have to get them while they are available before they end up on eBay for mad money, thanks for sharing.

@@EuviRail Hi, I got 6 of mine at a great price from Trainstop in Wales, great shop with very knowledgeable helpful staff, then numbers 7 & 8 were purchased from a eBay seller and the last one from the Great Electric Train show this year, I’m happy with the Ermewa livery which were the early models, I know there is a shop up north that has a few so hopefully if they end up in their Xmas Sale then I may purchase 2 more along with a Dapol class 73 in network rail yellow livery of which they have many of them.

Hi Julian, see the details here from Hattons website: www.hattons.co.uk/newsdetail.aspx?id=617. Essentially they cover from 1989 to the present day with workings from Cornwall to Scotland and also through the channel tunnel so you get fantastic geographic and time coverage with them.

Thanks. It's the R3741 GBRf Europorte, Class 92, Co-Co, 92043 'Debussy' - which is effectively a Railroad Plus model with lights. I covered it in a separate review.
