I have both. I can hear the difference from the utsw 3's - utsw 5s. Qobuz. I'm shocked at how good Hi res sounds. Guitars sound more articulate and more detail. Techno you can hear more micro layers and deeper details. I'd say general resolution on all music genres sounds more musical and has more oomph. My iems are Dunu 2001s and Final a4000. The UTWS5s make both absolutely sing. Even more so than the utsw3s. Providing you're using hi res in tidal or qobuz you will not be disappointed 👍🏻😎

I got both the shire SE846 and the UTSW3 and love them, just need to correct you that the 846s are super easy to drive very low impedance and very sensitive

Got my UTWS3 for 45 bucks. They're on sale at this time of the year. Yeah, the 2 devices thing when pairing is weird. I chose the leave the UTWS3 on maximum and the master volume at the phone. I'm personally not into reaching my ears to control volume. Good video. Thanks.

i have a set of utws5s coming in. all i need now is a way to connect them to my etymotic bois and im set. i can deal with wires at home but when im out i really hate having stuff dangle if it doesnt have to. so my btr5 is gonna sit for a while unless i can figure out another use for it

It seems like they have added ldac with update but it doesn't work on European version with another processor, so you need to check that. It may be on beta software only, not sure, but it is there.

I used them rn to watch your video Before that I paired my Pinnacle P1 iems with the Radsone Earstudio for a while, but it was a wirey bluetooth PITA solution that wasn't really Better. As a business creative I would love a solution for great phone call emphasized features... multipoint

Honest question. Does upgrading from UTWS3 to UTWS5 make sense? I was ready to pull a trigger and buy UTWS3 but I just found out that these came out. But the thing is, in Europe UTWS5 are not even listed in the shops yet and the price is expected to be cca double of the UTWS3. At this point I'm kinda budget IEMs user, will use FH3 and other similarly priced IEMs and my phone is Samsung, so no aptX HD or adaptive is going to happen there any time soon. Should I wait and pay extra or just get the UTWS3 and be happy?

meh.. from my standpoint i feel like the UTWS5 at 130$ are way to expensive. I got the UTWS1 for 45$ and the UTWS3 for 80$ they last about a year before a battery dies. On my UTWS1 it was the left earpiece and on the UTWS3 it's the case battery that starts to hold only enough juice for about one chare of both earpieces. On the UTWS1 the battery can be replaced quite easily (soldering required) no idea how this will work on the newer models. Keep in mind this is daily use. They keep increasing the price on each generation but do nothing in terms of call quality. If i take a call with these in people will instantly complain that they can't understand me.

I bought the UTWS3 and immediately canceled the purchase and got the UTWS5 after watching this.. I also thought there couldn't be that much of a difference.. I'm glad I stumbled across this video.

I just recently got into IEMs learning they were pretty inexpensive (currently own kbear ks2), it was upsetting how much even they are compared to my soundcore liberty pro 2s (they have become my phone nexflix buds), this video and the fact the trusted KZfaqr who recommended the kbears also has good things to say about Fiio (dankpods) I'm fucking buying these
