Super excited to finish all the sketches in this book 😊 and I have to say, so far, it’s been a lot easier to watercolour than I initially thought it would be.

The PAINT you’ll need:
The preferred pan you should use is the Winsor & Newton Cotman Half Pan 45. They normally retail for about R2,500 (£130 / US$ 160). The pallet I bought has 48 colours and was R500 (£26 / US$ 32) so the price difference is pretty big.
The COLOURS you’ll need:
Lemon yellow hue, Gamboge hue, Cadmium yellow hue, Cadmium orange hue, Cadmium red pale hue, Cadmium red hue, Cadmium red deep hue, Alizarin crimson hue, Permanent rose, Light pink, Rose madder, Purple lake, Mauve, Dioxazine purple, Ultramarine, Cobalt blue hue, Turquoise, Viridian Hue, Raw sienna, Sap green, Yellow ochre, Raw umber, Burnt sienna, Indian red, Burnt umber, Vandyke brown, Sepia, Indigo, Payne’s grey, Ivory black, Lamp black, White, Beige, Pale green, Light Emerald, Salmon, Grey and Dark grey.
The BRUSHES you’ll need:
Cotman brush series 111 (round brushes)
Sizes 000, 01, 02, 04, 06, 08 & 10
Cotman brush series 666 (flat brushes)
Sizes 3mm, 6mm & 10mm
Remember if you’re going to make your sketches smaller like I did, you will be using smaller brushes.
The PENS you’ll need:
Pilot G-tec black gel pen
Uni-ball Signo white gel pen
