With the detachable wires: if they do get caught they fall off rather than breaking. It also might open a window to be able to make your own wires and attach them

I collect prop replicas for 2 decades now. I will say this. With the release of this ridiculously movie accurate Proton Pack by Haslab, the line between toy and prop replica have blurred tremendously. Superb that this is 3D scanned and therefore has direct lineage to thr screen used prop from the movie! History had been made!

One mod for the proton pack/neutrona wand that I would love to see is attachments to make an afterlife styled video game proton pack, with the Plasm Distribution System, Dark Matter Generator, and Composite Particle System as the wand already has those fire modes in it.

Mods I’ve done for my pack are as followed: Proper P clamp for the ribbon cable. Correct yellow wire sleeve. Electrical and grip tape where moulded tape is. Twisted the ribbon cable to the right. Metal adjuster rings on red cyclotron wire. Alice frame. Genuine Dixie cup bracket. Replaced milky power cell lens for a black lens. (Tried a blue one and it looked cartoonishly blue) Frutti keep alive and switch in the power cell compartment. Wand mods: Removed fake tape grip and added a filler and real grip tape. Dixie hook. Repainted tip. 3D printed snap grips for an 84, 89, 2021 look. All of which are done to be screen accurate. (GB2 grip has a wooden finish and a poorly done black paintjob to look worn down) (Afterlife grip is same as GB2 grip with added black hex bolt.) I just got my pack the day before yesterday and got it set up. I'm loving it and may mod it a small bit. For the next thing they do, I REALLY hope that they give us the Ghost Trap. Possibly with Ecto Goggles included.

This is really a dream come true item. I would never have made my own pack and certainly not spent over $1-2K on a custom made one. I also understand the inaccuracies and plan on at least adding the ALICE frame to mine--but if I didn't have the funds for that, I would have been MORE than satisfied with the way it comes out of box. Can't thank Hasbro enough for this opportunity and for knocking it out of the park.

I personally love how modular the pack is. I have a bad back, so it's a lot easier for me to just detach a component that I want to hit with paint or Rub n Buff, than to hunker over the full pack.

I would have to guess the built in timer is because D cell's are damn expensive

I’m in love. Up until backing this project, I’d totally given up on the idea of owning a full-size proton pack that looks even vaguely close to this good. The mere fact that there are numerous upgrade paths and little touches that can make it even better blows my freakin’ mind! I feel like ten-year-old me every time I walk into the room and see it sitting there on that sweet rack!

If you're wearing it and it turns off all you need to do is dislocate your shoulder so you can reach the switch and then pop your shoulder back in and you're good to go.

When it comes to the v-hooks on the earlier Hasbro wands, the angle of the channel is a bit inconsistent, it seems. Mine fits the pack's hook fully and securely...but man, is it hard to line it up absolutely perfectly, in order to get it on. I might end up going the magnetic route, but either way, I'm looking to upgrade the v-hook. Still, for $400, this is an *incredible* product, out of the box. I've been planning to mod it to more of an 84 style ever since I pre-ordered it...or backed it...or whatever. haha That's always been the plan, and I started modding it the day it arrived. So replacing a v-hook is no big deal, and the stock hook keeps the wand on the pack just fine til I swap it out.

As mentioned in my review, I hope they do more Ghostbusters backing with Ghostbusters 2 equipment, like the Gigameter or the Slime Blower.

One mod that I am working on that I haven't seen at all is, spinning lasers coming from the end of the wand, and a small fogger to highlight the lasers. it won't be movie accurate, because that is basically impossible. But the effect should look cool to actually project something out of the wand.

I finally got mine yesterday. Not sure why it took so long, but I'm glad it got to me.

HasLab Ghost Trap please!

I'm going in waves with my mods. First step was the wire sleeve. Second was the ALICE frame. Next up is replacing the screws with weathered silver/black screws. (Afterlife screws were silver screws with weathered black paint whereas prior screws were silver.) When I replace the screws, I'm replacing the P-clamp over the wire sleeve with a real P-clamp. I want to set aside one screw and washer because this pack is missing one next to the v-hook (they left a hole but no screw) but you need to open the pack for that... and I plan to make an afternoon out of the inside of the pack down the road where I'll replace the v-hook (needs to be done from the inside), add the missing screw, and reconnect the power supply from the battery pack to a USB battery. (It uses a 2 pin JST connector -- no soldering required. But getting the right wire adapters is tricky and I'm letting other people test their solutions first. Soldering may be better.)

I Love my Pack and Hasbro make a great Job . But a many of Packs have Electronic issues my too 😩 and this ist really Bad .

The time limited power down is a safety feature, since the pack is powered by those big D-Cell Batteries, they get warm after usage, and if they get to warm they can explode, which would cause Damage to your Pack and possibly the person wearing it.

This toy is freaking awesome! I made some ear tabs that fit into the bumper from the free Q-Pack files, and a spacer to go between the bumper and cyclotron, and you can drop the Q-Pack bumper right on

I wore my proton pack to make dinner as well......Great minds think alike, I love this one, and cannot wait to build my Mack's Factory one.

Love your videos. Keep them up. One thing, I’d like you to look into, if you are interested. I was watching another proton pack unboxing video and they mentioned their serial number on the back. I, like you, was under the impression that about nineteen thousand were sold but your serial number is twenty two thousand and something. Can we find out exactly how many were produced and how were they distributed to fans? It seems like the number doesn’t correlate with how early fans ordered them. Cheers and keep up the good work

I grabbed some colored electrical tape to add over top of the faux tape areas on the wires for an easy upgrade to pair with the Alice Frame.

I’m quite happy with my first mod, changing the switch for switching modes to the extra switch so I don’t have to open the pack every time I want to change.

I need to find some of that yellow wire cover.

luckily with mine I have had zero issue with the V mount, it fits perfectly secure all the way.

I'm so glad that this pack came out as well as it did for everyone. I'm still waiting. FedEx lost mine (or most likely stolen en route), so now I'm going through Hasbro to get a replacement sent out. Hopefully I can get a pack sent out and not a refund.

The R.C. ghost trap would be awesome for next Christmas

Still can't believe I have this thing in my room, it's nuts. The only critiques I have, aside from the v-hook connection and yellow flex tubing is the hose that connects the HGA to the "beam line", that cylinder to the left of the Clippard valve. It's noticeably softer and feels more fragile than everything else on the pack, to the point where I feel like it might tear if I mess with it too much. I might change that out later, but just a nitpick I have.

Hey, Jason, I absolutely loved the review, especially after just receiving my pack this past Wednesday, and I’m loving it almost as much as you are. I do have one question. There is a black switch under, I believe the crank box, that looks identical to the power switch and I cannot figure out what it does.

The sound of removing the ribbon cable in Afterlife mode was definitely inspired by the Real Ghostbusters.

Another note I noticed by accident. That 5-10 minute minute window when you switch the pack on. Extending the tip and closing it powers the pack for a few seconds then shuts off also

I'm not sure if i just found an EASTER EGG or i'm just late to the party, i got my haslabs proton pack and had to wait 2 weeks before i got my neutrona wand... i messed around with it this morning, i cant replicate it yet but it threw me with awesomeness! using the wand on normal proton stream and i pushed the plastic back in the barrel and the sound of slimer went through both speakers either side, it caught me off guard and then put a huge smile on my face.... is this new??

I love mine but the main fear I have is with the flex tubing wire, for me it doesn't seem to want to disconnect from the cyclotron . Anyone have any tips?

I have the hook issue and have to replace the one on the wand or on the pack (or both). Did contact Hasbro but they aren't helping out 'we don't have those spares'. So yeah, won't troop out untill that hook is fixed. 🙂 However adding the ALICE frame (LC2 here), makes such a huge difference. Also my back likes that more :D

I'd love to see a video detailing all of the different easter eggs this things has. I found one last night that I CANNOT replicate, and it's driving me crazy: Powered up the pack via the wand, turned everything on, and as I was powering it down, the pack suddenly played Slimer's SCREAM from the end of the first movie as he's flying towards the audience. It's only happened the one time, and I have no idea what triggered it!

Is there a way to upgrade the speakers ? And add a small subwoofer? Imagine the low end !

Even after watching all the unboxing videos I was so happy and thrilled when I opened mine up the. I was born in 84 and for as long as I can remember I've loved this movie, so I have wanted a pack literally all my life. I always intended on keeping this pretty basic as it came, but now after only watching a handful of videos, I'm kicking myself for not ordering another to customize. The only things I plan on doing is adding an Alice frame, yellow flex tubing, a proper ribbon wire clamp and a little bit of painting. I am one of the ones that have had an issue with the vhook. I already messaged hasbro to see if there's a chance of somekind of retro fit kit, if not I'll just buy a proper matching set. I didn't know about all the Easter eggs until I saw this video, now im looking foward to messing with those features. I didn't even know the ribbon cable mount came off so easy. I guess my only question is what is the switch on bottom the of the crank generator box for? I just noticed it today and don't believe I've seen anyone mentioning it yet. Does anyone else have an issue with the hose connection? Both of the connection ports are perfectly fine, same with the pack and the wand. My hose is just really touchy. The wand won’t turn on the pack either..
