The trackpad buttons are on top because you're supposed to operate them with your thumb while using the track nav joystick with your index finger. Lenovos have it the same way.

This is a Business laptop not a gaming laptop for kids. Its primary use is running low graphics programs like word processing, spreadsheet, email, Surfing the web, playing 1080 videos on KZfaq and Skype. Perfectly capable for those uses. Surprisingly, the keyboard also gets decent reviews. I was also surprised at the loudness of the audio he played. That seems good as well. It also passed 13 of the MIL-SPEC-810G durability tests used for U.S. military equipment. Mine is on the way ...just ordered a Windows 11 REFURB 830 for $380. If it looks and ops like this one, I'll be very pleased, even if mine is smaller. Would I pay $1500 for this? Heck no! I'd be in ROG territory for that kind of money! I'm buying this because my 2013 ROG won't run 2022 turbo tax which requires Win 10. I wanted to get something Win 11 upgradable, so not upgrading again in 2 yrs. But some of the REFURB units with Win 10 CLAIM to have an 8th gen processor but then people get it and its a 7th Gen. So I decided to order one with Win 11 preloaded, just to be safe. It's due in 4/14/2023. If any problems I'll try to note them here. Speaking of Win 11, what's up with having to upgrade to an 8th gen processor just to run Win11?? It seems like processors are so fast now that no one is upgrading. That must have scared Intel, so they got with Microsoft to devise a plan to FORCE people, especially businesses to upgrade their CPUs. I'd like to see Justice Dept look into monopoly practices on this one, I mean if they have any resources left that aren't trying to frame Donald Trump. 😂😂

What a dumba**. It's the FBI's job to drum up charges on Trump. Justice only prosecutes once the FBI hands off to them. Rest assured they'll find something even if it's just jaywalking or not raising his pinky at tea time and he'll be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law... And then some!! No one can be that flawless, they're going to find something even if they have to make it up.

Isn't 830 13.3 inch whereas 840 is 14 inch?

It is indeed a 13,3" screen. All X40 Elitebook versions have 14" displays.

I do not own the laptop anymore, it was good at that time, but as any Lithium Ion battery, it gets worse with time and number of charges.

It's a Sim card slot so you can use mobile data on your laptop if you put a Sim card.

One review said that fingerprint scanner and SIM slot are Options that can be ordered. So not all of these will have those features.

dont think so it can play fortnite with low grapics at 60 fps max. if you want something for GTA V id look for something with an i7 16 - 32 gb ran and a graphics card like an GTX 1650 if ur on a budget, if not look for an RTX 2070 or above!

Not that I'm aware of. Should probably go for an Elitebook x360 version if you want a touchscreen (do keep in mind x360's are shipped with a glossy, anti-reflective display as supposed to a matte screen).

Reviewers also say that the touch screen is significantly DIMMER .So check in that before you buy.

The video shows hp elitebook 840 which is 14 inch BUT you wrote (and claim it is) 830 which is 13 inch. You are one of the people who's making this world a bad place to live in. Not helpful at all.
