My son flew into MAD from BOS and said it was the most unorganized airport he's been in. He's been to some massive airports in Europe - LHR , AMS , CDG but MAD was a nightmare , luckily he had 4+ hours of a layover.

The Madrid airport requires an expansion of its infrastructure to accommodate increasing passenger and operational demands. erminal 1 at Madrid Airport is outdated and struggling to handle the high volume of passenger traffic, making it unsustainable to meet current demand

I flew this route on Iberia in 2003 on a A340. Everything went well and smooth. It would be nice too see Iberia too Phoenix non stop in the future
