I picked this knife up while it was on sale too. Seemed like a helluva deal. I really like it! I’ll have to look at doing your chamfer trick

Beautiful knife! I picked up my first QC model a couple days ago; a MagnaCut The Nine. I’m QUITE pleased with it, and will definitely be getting more QC knives in the (nearish) future!

That’s awesome. I’m impressed by them more and more. I hope you enjoy it. If you are ever up for it, putting in Skiff caged ceramic ball bearings makes it stupid buttery smooth like a custom almost. 🫡🤓

I’m so glad you went back and got this knife again! Your first video definitely has me hesitant about picking this up but I went and got it anyway and I was just smitten with it. The price was only 189 and as soon as I got it in hand I understood why they were originally selling for over 300. Fit and finish was perfect, detent was flawless, the knurling Quiet Carry does is legendary and the iQ-L lives up to it. You are right about the the lock bar and they did actually round it off a bit but it is still aggressive; luckily I have no issues getting my tiny little girl hands in there so it actually doesn’t bother me at all. It’s a wonder edc, the pocket clip works way better than it looks and goes in and out of the pocket very well. Aside for my Maxace Black Mirror in S90V for 148, the iQ-L for for 189 might be the second best price for materials and execution in my collection hands down. Wonderful knife and I am glad you did this follow up video because I don’t have an audience to spread the word! Thanks!

Hey, thank you so much and I very much much appreciate your words. I do agree and the heat treat on the M390 is really good. I suspect it’s around 61-62 because it takes a little work to strip but boy does it retain its edge well! 🫶👍🤜💥🤛🤓

Rob, do you prefer frame locks or liner locks or are you indifferent?

It is a matter of design. Framelocks can be great or not so good. Linerlocks can be the same based on access and ergonomics. If designed well, each can be amazing. So I guess I’m indifferent if done well. LOL. 🤔🧐🤓
