Update: It's been over a year since I made this video and I still use this product. I love it!
I treated myself to a "big brand" face moisturizer and tested it over four weeks. I particularly wanted to remove age spots and pigmentation.
Loreal Age Perfect Hydrating Cream (night) for mature skin 50+ was an impulse buy! I was almost out of moisturizer and had planned to buy something better than I was using but I didn't plan to buy Loreal. I generally avoid big brand names because I feel you're paying for the name, not the product. But I was doing my grocery shopping, cruised up the bathroom aisle, and Loreal was HALF PRICE! Normally $36, on sale for $18! So I read the box front to back, side to side, several times and the points that were most important to me were -
- Mature skin
- Anti-age spots
- Dermatologically tested "on all skin types, even sensitive skin"
- Committed to a world without animal testing for more than 30 years
It ticked all the boxes on my list so I thought I'd give it a try.
I used the cream every night for four weeks.
I stayed with my regular, basic cleansing and toning routine - wash my face with a cleansing bar every night then wipe with a toner on a cotton pad. Several time a week I use a gentle scrub.
As I've aged, I've developed a sensitivity to a lot of products and especially fragrances, so I was quite nervous when using this product for the first time.
I HAD NO PROBLEMS, NO IRRITATION, NO SENSITIVITY TO THE PRODUCT OR THE FRAGRANCE.
Results...
AFTER ONE NIGHT - my skin felt soft, plump and juicy
AFTER ONE WEEK - my skin felt soft and smooth, looked brighter and I thought maybe the spots were starting to fade
AFTER ONE MONTH - my skin is firmer and smoother, plump and soft. Spots and pigmentation are still visible but DEFINITELY have faded. Mostly I love how BRIGHT my face looks! Like an inner glow.
Do I RECOMMEND this product? - Absolutely!
Is it good VALUE? - I think so, yes. Judging by how much I've used in a month, I expect to get six months from one jar, but that is a guess! It might last longer! Even at full price I think that's good value, but I'm a tightarse so when it starts to run low I'll be looking for special prices.
I'm so pleased with the results, I'm tempted to try other Loreal products! Stay tuned!
