Welcome to shutter jam and the review of the Lubitel 2
A fantastic 120 medium format TLR camera made between 1954 and 1980 by GOMZ and then later LOMO.
Might not have the sophistication of more expensive cameras such as the Rolleiflex but it's still packs a punch in terms of features. There's no safety on this things so you might shoot yourself in the foot but you'll be a lot more creative as a result.
Video should be Ad Free. If there are Ads then Google added them under their new policy.

I'm almost sure that word 'Amateur' wasn't swear word in Soviet Union, there was almost an 'amateur cult': you work your shift and then you play sport games with your colleagues, take a photos of your family and develop them just in a bathroom, make audio power amplifier from discrete components soldered out of broken TV set and so on. Why be ashamed of being a man of many talents? The difference between amateurs and professionals is that first ones do it for fun, while the second: for money. Both just state the fact, not accuse of being incompetent / sold out. PS. Used Lubitel first time this weekend, just got negatives. Neat thing, but focusing is crazy, I can't just see the difference in viewfinder when rotating focus dial. Resorted to shooting everything on 'infinity' or rather hyperfocal...

Thanks, that's a really lovely way to look at it. Often in western society(u.k) it now has a negative connotation as opposed to the true definition of the word. Most of what I enjoy in life are actually the things I'm not paid for. Thanks for watching and happy shooting.

Nice camera, terrible jacket. The backing paper of the HP5+ seems to have imprinted itself on to the film, I had this problem with FP4+ that I purchased from " 7dayshop.com "

+mamiyapress Thanks for watching. The jacket was a Christmas present, I can't say I wear it out much. However it's rather unique and colorful, perfect for standing out from the KZfaq crowd. The early episodes of SJ the images were really poorly scanned using a DSLR and a home made light box. I may have used a sheet of white paper as a light diffuser. Not my finest work. All new episodes are scanned at the developers.

Thanks for watching. There are no ISO settings on the camera as it's fully manual with no automatic settings. So the camera doesn't need to the know the speed of the film as it's not calculating exposure for you. If you're using a handheld light meter then you would set your ISO on it to determine the correct exposure settings. Alternatively, if you used the Sunny16 rule then you would need to factor in the ISO to estimate the correct exposure settings. Happy shooting.

ISO/ASA SETTINGS ARE ONLY ON CAMERAS THAT HAVE AN ELECTRONIC METERING SYSTEMS
