Despite their age I think these will be my end game IEM. I want to get them in the deep blue colour way. I currently daily drive the Starfield so I want to keep the same sound signature but just improve on it. Kato does just that. Plus longevity wise they seem to be one of the best IEMs with the replaceable nozzles and solid build and cable quality. Can’t wait honestly. Just saving up now.

I bought the small spring tips because of your shilling and thank you, they are the most comfortable tips I've had. I can wear my tri starseas for 10+ hours without issue now

Think I'll pull the trigger on the Hana since it seems to be one of the standout sets in its class, then decide after getting it if I'm wanting for more detail. Does the staging and imaging of the Hana come with any sacrifices in dynamics? For some reason I have it in my head that staging capability and dynamics are inversely correlated, which I know probably isn't true, but is something I worry about.

I'm thinking of upgrading my kato's cable. And it also need to be interchangeable plug cable. Will moondrop pcc cable ok? And also eartips, I'm ok with springtips but also want a pair of foam tips. Which foam tips ll be the best for kato as well?

I know they're using different drivers technologies, but how would you compare KATO to the Etymotic EVO? I don't have a reference of good BA bass versus a good 1DD like in this case. Would KATO top EVO in bass extension and heft? Isolation isn't a big deal for me so it seems KATO is a better buy overall but I'm not entirely sure.

What would you all suggest for an iem that presents at least similarly to the openness of the Moondrop Kato, but that is a lighter body and cable (still good quality tho), and maybe grey or black (not a dealbreaker), with just as much, if not a touch more bass. Around $100, but willing to go up to $120 or $140. I have the Kato and I love it...for home listening. When I'm singing I need something lighter with a lighter cable, but I need smooth mids and highs, in order to stay as least fatiguing as possible, and like I said, just as much bass, or more. Ideally black for wedding gigs, but that's less crucial cuz I'm currently using the Kato mirror finish and they look slick, it's just the cable is on the heavier side, so that contributes to the iems slipping out little by little when doing even simple dance moves. Any recommendations? Been looking at the Linsoul Tangzu Vudu Verse 1, Truthear x Crinacle Zero Red, Simgot EA500LM, 7hz Sonus, Kefine Delci and Shanling Sono. Are any of those decent options for what I'm looking for? Sorry for the long question. Lots to be explained. Currently using SpinFit W1's. They seem to be a good balance for me.

I ordered their new spring tips for my Sparks, and I gotta say I really like the tips alot. It made the Sparks stay fit into my ears better. I got the M and L size because both of my ears are different in size, and that costed me $35 :/ Wished they also sell their spring tips with all sizes included in one box than 6 same size tips in a box.

From what you describe the tanchjim hana is something I would enjoy. I would be into an expansive soundstage and prominent bass. Im having a problem finding a good iem because its not exactly cheap and you cant try before you buy, at least where I live. Ive ordered a few iems that were duds to my ears. Its a costly error.

I am finding an IEM not only for vocal songs, but also other medias like game, just watching youtube etc.. for all I can hear. On this condition, is it good with KATO than HANA? I’m very agonized..

Very poor 5.1 bluetooth range. xbass not as strong as the hip dac which was subtle :( The whole idea of bluetooth is that you loose a cable and leave the source behind past 6 feet and I start to loose connection :( Looking forward to your review. Dilemma I am now on the verge of my next IEM purchase. I love R&B, Hip-Hop, Funk, Jazz, House, Indie Pop, Indie Rock, Blues, etc. But I still can’t decide whether to get the Moondrop Kato (BLUE) or the IKKO OH10. Both are priced at $150 here in our country. I would love to have an engaging bass while maintaining lush details and wide soundstage. I am also concerned about the quality and longevity of the IEMs ( I take good care of my things btw). I’m in need of help. Any insights would be great! Thanks! PS. I love the looks of the Kato but I’m afraid the bass would be lackluster based on the reviews.

I have now had Moondrop Kato for a few months, so they must be burnt in by now. The first IEMs I brought was KZ ZS pro, and was extremely surprised by improvement in the sound from other brands I have tried before, great sound for $80 aud, so how would Kato be for $250 aud , ok I'm old and have probably lost a lot of my hearing, but the difference between the two IEMs are minimal to my ears and not word the extra money, the Kato is also very heavy and doesn't fit as well in my ears, as KZ, the do sound better if I hold and press them in to the ears a bit, you get more bass, than the KZ can produce but that get a bit tiresone to press on the Kato for long just for better sound. I brought spin fit eartips but have never found a eartip that fit well fit the Kato, the KZ fit better with the same eartips, probably due to the lighter weight. 4

Sound isolation is an important factor to me. Etymotic ER-2XR has of course better isolation than KATO. But if KATO sounds better (like I assume), I still might choose it, not 2XR. So how is the sound difference between these two ?
