That rear loading cylinder showing up on a Nerf blaster makes me hope that Nerf goes around and designs a potential Strongarm/Disruptor successor with the same loading mechanism. Would be pretty neat to prefab a cylinder speedloader tool for it as well.

All though the ultra series is very controversial, I really enjoy this blaster. Loading it, like you said, feels super cool. And for just flinging foam around the house I think it does the job.

I purchased an Ultra-Two a few weeks ago (mostly because I loved the rear loading revolver style cause cowboys are awesome) but when I was firing it the day I got it one of the Ultra darts got decapitated in the flywheels and the head and the body shot out of the barrel at once. Kinda funny, but it really shows how bad this series is because of the darts.

Back when the Ultra Accustrike darts first came out, I decided against my better judgement and bought one of these along with a pack of the Ultra Accustrikes. I still think it was a good purchase since: 1) I love revolver/handcannon designs, and 2) the accustrike darts actually made this blaster much better. I'm really REALLY hoping they re-release this and pack in 6 accustrikes with it - it's that much better.

Great review, I am going to buy it because all I need is the distance the darts can go and I just use it for trying to shoot my brother in battles, I do not really need the performance to be good that it goes exactly where I want. This review answered all my questions and is just under budget, so I can get it tomorrow.

Even after all of this I'm still sold with this blaster, just because the presentation of your review and also how cool it looks.

I have this blaster, mine shoots very straight, very fast, and the best part of the ultra darts is that you will definitely know when you're hit. I think I like it better than my rival in that regard. The darts are very hard and solid so they will last a lot longer,l. One of the problems with elite darts is if they get stepped on or even used 10 times being stuffed in a magazine they deform and suck, not only in accuracy but also in distance. As far as his comments on the grip, maybe it's just hand size, in a medium adult glove sized hand it feels fine. It is a little front end heavy, by comparison it's more like a 1911 vs a glock 43.

This was a great upgrade from the Nerf Nerf Rival Apollo XV-700 Blaster which used spring air pumps and balls. Unloading 6 chambers feels awesome and loading like a cowboy. The Nerf Rival Apollo XV-700 Blaster was cool too because you loaded 7 balls into a a separate magazine clip, and that clip went in the handle of the blaster. Stealth on this is impossible tho, its a retro design tech, like being in Red Dead Redemption after living in Grand Theft Auto 5 universe. But you can play Russian Roulette!

Nerf literally just created the nerf equivalent of a Mateba Model 6 Unica. I never thought they would ever make a blaster like it.

I got one and noticed its flywheels where very offset, and the jam door kicked open on occasion. Maybe it was just mine but I tried opening it up to see if I could adjust the flywheels but it didnt seem like a lemon. The ultra series sucks overall any recommendations for a non-nerf revolver?

Hey Coop, I bought 2 IMR batteries, and 2 dummy batteries, and they are arriving tomorrow, and I removed the thermistor. I was wondering if the IMR batteries would make a difference?

How exactly does it work? Does it sick the dart in from the back and then shoot it out cause there is nothing behind it

I was bored one day so I put ultra darts in my rival perses and found that it works incredibly well. I know been a lot of hate about ultra recently but if nerf wants every one to like ultra then they should make a fly wheel full auto blaster with very powerful flywheels, similar to the perses. It could be a drum, like the one, or a new type of mag. Just something full auto with very powerful flywheels.

Yeah my experience was about the same. I got it but it felt weird. Sometimes I could only pull the trigger back a bit, other times I could pull it back fully. It seized up only after one or two shots and I have only been able to get though a full 6 rounds (in under 5 seconds, mind you) about four times. Oh yeah, and the tip of a bullet broke already. If you’re looking for a slow firing or purely for show weapon, it’s fine. If you’re looking for top quality, just get a hammershot or strongarm.

I got one recently and found I could fire all 6 rounds in around 2 to 3 seconds and found they all ended at the same range with out lose in power with relatively good constantstly, I find it interesting viewing this video after playing with the ultra 2 with constant results at mid to close range. I do personally disagree with your opinion on it, however I'm not saying your wrong, and it was genuinely interesting to see your take on it and certainly take the good points you made into consideration and comparing them to my own experience with the blaster:)

I found this one at a cheap shop and brought it for my kid since his springer was a bit too hard for his little hands... I didnt have any of the accuracy issues shown in this video. I was even able to set up cans and hit them from 20m away.

I like your feedback on this. I too would like an elite version that's slimmer with better ergonomics but maybe their could be a hammer option with springs instead of a motor for firing. Or the hammer can be the trigger for the rev instead of there being a rev button.
