The frequency counter is a bit of a disappointment limited to TTL (verified in Uni-trend web site). If frequency counting is important, the Rigol DG-832 has a 7 digit counter which has 50 mV RMS to 100 MHz and 100 mV RMS sensitivity to 240 MHz. The other instrument attributes are similar, but the Rigol max sine output is 35 MHz max and it has a touch screen. The down side to the Rigol is that you have to use the touch screen because there is not a 10 digit key pad and the Rigol is ~100 USD more expensive.

Hi Kerry, Thanks for the video. I commented on an earlier video about the Uni-T 962 ARB where I am concerned about the signal level drop when AM Modulation is enabled. I noticed the same thing on this video at 9:04 where when you turned on AM Modulation the level on the scope suddenly dropped. Is this normal and expected behavior? Does the sine wave level still match the ARB display? Test case... Sine wave 14 mHz at -30 dBm then watch the level change when AM MOD is enabled, even if the MOD Depth is at 0%. Why does the level drop?? is this a shortcoming of the Uni-T firmware?? thanks for taking a look at this question

The drop at 9:04 is probably due to the triggering point and the timebase. But I saw your earlier comment as well and I will definitely do a comparison video (will probably be next month though) and will confirm.

Hi, can this mix the two tones for testing SSB linearity internally and output the mixed tone? Cheers

You will need a combiner and combine both outputs. I suppose you could design an arbitrary waveform but it's not as flexible.

@KerryWongBlog looks like the Siglent SDG 1062x is the go as it has an internal mixer/combiner.i have modified a TV antenna splitter box into a 50ohm y divider for my Feeltec FY6800 which works OK...but rather the Siglent soonish.. Thanks for the reply

These AWGs are so small ... i wonder, if selling my Sony/Tektronix AWG610 would be a good idea. Its quite old ... 8M Memory, 8bit res, 2VPP@50Ohm and 2.6 GS/s ... on the other hand, these small units tend to slip around, mhmm. Did the same slew rate test with the old AWG610 and its razorsharp ... mhmm hmmm! Things i need the most are "sync-out" for sweep-alignment of radios ... 10,7 MHz etc pp
