Review of E-Z Light and E-Z Light Dual hot tub lights

This video shows unboxing the retail packaging, how to install the lights into the hot tub and review of E-Z Light and E-Z Light Dual by E-Z Corps. These lights are designed to fasten to the hot tub filter on a Lay-Z-Spa and light up the entire hot tub. They come with a remote control to switch colour, light pattern, brightness and off/on.
The lights will also fit MSpa, Clever Spa, Aqua Spa & Canadian Spa Co.

Please note that the remote control works best in still water and when the lights are at a shallow depth. Also, the remote control is not waterproof, so care must be taken to not drop it in the hot tub. For longevity, it's advised to take the individual lights out of the water when not in use. Also, batteries are not supplied in retail models - the manufacturer recommends using good quality batteries.

Hi David, I noticed you have bought a Honolulu Lay Z Spa. I have bought one too but cannot work out where the LED lights which came with the Spa, the filter case is too big to screw the light into. Can you give me any ideas where it goes please?

I bought a Dual set of lights recently. Came wrapped in a brown box, no original fancy packaging, no batteries included and the LEDs / remote received are significantly different and weak. On top of that, the IR of the remote is reflected by the water surface so I can’t change color of the LEDs when they are under water. At 70+ £.... I was expecting a bit more seriousness from the manufacturer.

Thanks for the review. I cannot find them in the US..Quick question though..I bought the same spa and is the filter pump always supposed to stay on? Or does it cycle on and off? Thanks

Big T Enterprises the lights are from a UK company. Yes, the filter is always on if heating or circulating the water, so stays on even if the tub reaches temperature.

@@terryd8692 there is just an on/off on the pump. however, the individual nozzles can twist to vary the strength of the jet.

I emailed E-Z Corps and they told me that they're having trouble with supplies due to Coronavirus. There are plenty of floating lights on Amazon etc, (e.g. www.amazon.co.uk/Accessories-Submersible-Controlled-Underwater-Decorations/dp/B073M7XD7M) but most don't come with the additional waterproof housing or mount that fastens them to the filter. Lay-Z-Spa sells these for Airjet models - www.lay-z-spa.co.uk/tahiti-airjet-underwater-led-light.html and these for Hydrojet versions www.lay-z-spa.co.uk/aqua-glow-led-light.html.. I've not tried any of the above, so not sure how good they are.

The best way I have found is to pit your finger on the bottom and unclipped them a little and then Do the top the same and it should come out easy hope that helps

Hi Adam, have you tried the genuine bestway hydrojet lights that replace the original jets. These dont need any brackets or batteries and are far more aesthetically pleasing as they are designed like the original jets.

I bought these and they really dont work properly. They didn't come in the packaging that Adam shows, which was strange and when you put the batteries in the light just stays on. The remote didn't work even though I changed the battery.

Use PH+ to raise the TA and then PH- to adjust the PH if required. Take a look at my hot tub chemicals video on this channel for more advice.

Not sure. There's a hole in the mounting plate designed to go over the filter in a Lay-Z-Spa. Not sure if it would do the same ion a Claverspa. Sorry, I can't help more.

Hi, I've read that these can only be in the tub and on for 30 minutes and that the control doesn't work through the water?! What gives

I’ve had mine in the water for a few hours at a time and not had any issues - wouldn’t leave them in overnight or anything like that. The instructions say the remote won’t work in the water, but as you can see in the video, I was operating them without any probs.

Fantastic review but of a product that is impossible to buy. I followed links on their facebook page only to find empty items removed pages on ebay. I know there is this Covid19 issue right now but all other delivery companies seem to be managing it fine?

Remote Feature is nice, kind of wish my Intex light I have on my Lay-Z-Spa Miami had that feature, but I am glad that the Intex light doesn't have multiple housings to deal with. I have a review of the Intex Purespa LED on my channel.

I have tried all the links on this video and nothing works. I have found the company on Facebook but again all there linked to there store do not work! It this a real company or is it a scam? I have searched google and there’s limited results and what is there again does now work.

Thanks for your comment. This isn't a scam, but it does look like the E-Z Corps website is not working. The eBay and Facebook site for E-Z Corps still work for me. As they are sold as single and double packs, I am confused as to why you didn't show them as single light, then double light seperate to see the difference between the two. You did he unboxing seperate as well so the continuity was totally lost. Maybe you could do review again as two separate products and not combine please.

Get a grip mate, this isn't rocket science, the double one is twice as bright as the single one or if you prefer, the single light is half as bright as the double one, these are just hot tub lights, shove them in and they shine pretty colours.
