Beth and I spent about 3 weeks at the Cuatro Palmas Hotel in Varadero in January 2023. Overall, having stayed at about 20 other hotels during our winter 2023 bike touring season, we placed this hotel near the top of our list of best stays. It is a good 4-star hotel.
Highlights are: right in the heart of Varadero town with all the stores, bars, and restaurants; good food and selection; excellent beach with great sand, adults only :-); and, great staff.
Negatives would be: rooms along the road are noisy as there is vehicle traffic and a very loud disco/bar across the street (ask for a room away from the street); food not as good as more expensive hotels but still good.
