Appreciate this review man. Honest and to the point. I am replacing my old 2100's as well. Unfortunately one side is now fizzy but I think that's my fault for playing something too loud one time. Will probably go with the 3150. Sub'd!

AWESOME video. So well explained. Considering the 3150 vs JBL Endurance Peak II... Can the 3150 be turned off while you're still wearing them, to conserve power? Also, do you still get the "Phone 1 connected" voice, like my old 3240?

Wow, as an owner of 2100 that just broke down after 3-4 years of valuable service, I am lost trying to find a replacement, I've just returned marley's UPRISE, they were just not up to the challenge. What scares me the most is how well they hold on my hear. I skateboard , run and lift so I need something that can stay in place like the 2100 did. From this video, I will look into the 3150 or 3100. maybe 3200 but they are very expensive and I too have a small ear canal, so I am wary. Anyhow, thank you for this video, I know that if you liked the 2100, your input is very valuable to me!

A great review. A great and thorough review of these headphones. Would be nice if you could compare Plantronics backbeat fit 3150 or 3100 vs. Beats by Dr. Dre Powerbeats Pro Totally Wireless, which by my knowledge are the only earplugs are the only ones with ear hoods. Tnx.

Hey buddy. Great review. I found a pair of used 3200s on FB Marketplace near me for lower than the asking price of 3150s. You said you'd go with 3150s because of price and not much better sound quality in the review, but if they are the same price or 3200s are less expensive than the 3150s, which would you suggest the most, then?

I've had the backbeat fit for about 5 years but recently there starting to get worn and the battery is down to only about 2hrs now which isn't long enough for my rides or paddles. I had been considering the 3200 for a while but was worried about a few things...I have the 5100s and they transfer the noise of every step when I'm out hiking. Also, I thought I might miss the awareness of the fit model. Happily, I find everything about the 3200 is great for me! I don't get the noise from steps, the eartips still allow in enough sound to hear cars and people talking without having to bother with awareness mode and as a bonus I can now hear my music when riding in traffic. Also the fit model didn't block out enough sound when music at the gym was loud. I prefer the oval tips, they fit my small ear canals much better than my Jabra 65T earbud's and many of the companies are going over now like the new Jabra 85T and bose. The only thing I worry about is they feel less secure than the fit without the band and can be knocked out from behind...I hope they float :-P

Thanks for the detailed reviews! One thing I'm trying to find out more about is the "Awareness Mode" that the 3200 has... Does it pull audio through the mic from the surrounding world into the speaker or does it just lower the music volume? I'm debating between the 3150 and the 3200, and I see a lot of runners recommending the 3150 for the open audio path (not sealed to your ears) from your surroundings, but would the 3200 be just as good with Awareness Mode enabled during a run and then I'd have the benefit of better audio when not running?

Which one of these can connect to multi phones? I carry 2 phones with me , one personal and the other for work. Can they connect to both at the same time for incoming calls???

FIT 3100 - BIGGEST problem for me still is, when the phone rings and I tap the right ear, I can answer the phone, and I can hear them, but they can't hear me. at all. I have to quickly turn on the speaker on the phone to talk to them outside the earpieces. I do not know how to correct this. I skate outside daily and I have to be able to tap the earpiece to answer the phone. What am I doing wrong?

3100 vs 3150 ... 3150 has 60% the listening time: 8hrs(+16 case) hrs vs 5hrs(+10 case).. Is that worth double the price? ($50 vs $100) YMMV
