Not to mention everything in the world has increased in price. I preordered and traded in my flip 3 and used my military discount, whoa, price down into the $500 bucks range. That was before taxes kick in.

Pretty negative review. Negative vibes. Not everybody has the five. So this review wasn't good for someone like me who simply doesn't have one. You didn't review it like somebody new. This is just a comparison between this and the five and it was very negative

I think you find with the Flip and Fold many sales are returning customers that upgrade every year as they are hardcore foldable fans. So comparing with the Flip5 is sensible especially as in the UK you can get a new Flip 5 for £650 less, so two Flip5 + £250 = one Flip6.

The Flip isnt really new, this is the sixth generation and in that time hasn't changed a great deal either in that time apart from the front display.

Coming from an iphone 12mini, this is going to be a SUBSTANTIAL upgrade and I couldn't be more excited! I wasn't ready to make the swap until they offered something I couldn't already get in the small iphone lineup: 50mp camera and that processor, wow. If I had a Flip 5 already, I'd probably wait for the 7. Given what I'm working with, I'm preordering as soon as I get off work today so I can snag that upgrade and set up my trade-in for hopefully what will be a nearly free upgrade. And hey, it'll interface way better with both my Galaxy tablet and my PC. Also a massive win.

As much as I hate Apple, Samsung has been lazy as well in giving their phones specifically the Flip and Fold, significant upgrades. To make it worse, they're both +$100 this time lol.

I think you expect too many changes every year. It's just impossible year after year. Technology and cost of production limits frequent major updates. I guess it would be possible, but would you pay $500 more every year.... they have to wait until they can produce new tech at a cheaper price....

Phones like cars only change slightly most of the time with some bump years. Last year was a bump but this years sensor upgrade was looked forward to by me because I like the Z Flip form

Got one on order get it tomorrow, I've still got the old S23 but I thought upgrade to a flip phone, I looked at the bigger folding phone but it wasn't "big" that I needed. I'd gone through getting the tablets too, too bloomy heavy to hold for more than 5mins, tablets are gone, I was thinking more about security and this big phone I've got now would be easy to snatch out of my hand by a thieving cyclist. Whereas this little gem can slot straight into my pocket, even before the little blighters have seen what I've got. Can't wait to see what this AI has to offer, I don't think we've seen the best of it yet. sometimes I just wanna see the time so closed screen looks cool. I got the complete bundle, 512Gb, Buds, +watch. I'm mostly outside so I take a lot of images 50M wow. I read somewhere that Samsung are saying that the technology in these Z phones will replace every device that we use now. Computers, tablets, mobiles etc

Upgrading from S20 to flip 6, choice was between S24 and flip 6, but decided ro buy flip 6 as vanilla S24 misses out on many things which flip 6 has ,I always liked small phones

I guess it depends. Im upgrading from a S10.... I was looking for used flip 5's and those would set me back atleast 400 for one without damage. Ended up looking for deals on the flip 6 and managed to buy one for 550. No trade-in required. So if you do come across a deal like that, you can sell the 5 and upgrade to a 6 for maybe 100-150 bucks.

T-mobile has a great promotion going on for the zflip 6. For a new line or a new customer you get $1000 off and a upgrade to 512gb storage. I say go for it. This looks like it will be a great phone to get.

Haven't dropped my Flip 5 but the hinge has held up well. Last year's flip 3 started to get dust under the screen at the year mark (others too according to reddit).

I've had the flip 3 since release. Hinge is perfect but about 3months ago there is micro cracks on the screen. I love these phones tho im trading it in for the fold6 the screens supposedly are much better.

Dropped my flip 3 and my flip 5 all time No case. Because it's flipped, it's actually protect the screen. But be aware to use only official Samsung Case cuz i bought chinese one it ruined my screen cover luckily it's under warranty .

Dropped the flip 3 with a case only once, the hinge broke immediately, along with the screen. Impossible to open the phone anymore without the screen coming off.

Honestly I don't miss a flip phone, and that outside screen on this phone doesn't change that. I take far fewer selfies than I take pictures of other things, and having to open the phone to use that would mean I'd miss a lot of shots. Other than that, it's probably -- okay, and that's about it.

With Samsung's trade offers on an s21 and perksatwork discount, the flip is $80 less than the moto razr plus 2024, has dust resistance!!!!, 7 years software updates, an ultra wide instead of 2x zoom. The razr is sweet, but I highly value my hinge not getting gritty.

STILL no Dex support on the Z Flip series but at least it has a USB 3.2 port and yet the 2024 Motorola Razr+ (just like the 2023 version) has support for Smart Connect (formerly known as Ready For) but only a USB 2.0 port which should be illegal especially on a flagship phone. I'm tired of the compromised hardware and software features on these Flip foldable phones from different manufacturers. It's embarrassing.

I assume it is due to thermal issues. The vapour chamber is marketing and serves minimal purpose other than spreading the heat from one point to other points. As the heat is in one half unlike a candy bar phone, the heat dissipation will be adverse to that size. Moto get around this by only having USB 2.0 to reduce the thermals.

Don’t go by what someone says in a video. To me he comes across as negative towards the flip when it’s a great phone and now even a better reason to get with all the refinement s. Check it out in store and watch other videos. This guy is the first video I’ve seen that’s negative

guy isnt even using the cover screen and doing a review on a flip phone. he's basically just using the phone like a regular phone lol. if you like it get it. and go listen to other reviewers. There are people using this phone without even opening it. There are ways to be able to use every app on the cover screen which makes it unique.
