I shopped for a new SUV and eliminated 2 items. One was a CVT transmission, and the other was a 3 cylinder. My wife had a CR-V and we couldn't have a conversation at highway speed due to engine noise. I drove the Equinox and to me it was a no brainer. It checked all my boxes and I purchased an LT FWD for under $30,000.00.It's mosaic black with a grey interior, and I love it. I looked at the Jeep Compass and Cherokee and their prices are insane. With basically the same equipment, you're talking at least $5000.00 more. Insanity. No wonder their lots are full of product.

One thing about the Equinox that usually gets missed in reviews in addition to the great handling is that it has much more torque than the competition. The engine/drive train setup I feel can’t be beat. It is smooth, quiet, pulls like a diesel, and gets great fuel economy. While driving the Equinox with 4 adults in it on a road trip it’s as if the tach and speedometer needle are stuck in place. The torque just pulls the vehicle at highway speed over any hill without revving the engine or downshifting. It makes for an enjoyable drive which can’t be said about the competition.

I have a 2019 LT with AWD with the 1.5L turbo. I've gotten as high as 38mpg on the highway. Over the four years I've had the car I kept track of all my gas and mileage (old school, in a notebook) and have AVERAGED 33.8 mpg, that's city highway summer winter. I LOVE the car.

I have owned 3 chev Equinoxes since 2018. Great ride. 2021 Red line edition. 2 1/2 yrs later the electric control module went bad. (ECM) I had to global restart it. The dealership service dept said there was nothing wrong. I couldn’t wait to get rid of it and got out of my lease. In Aug I leased a 2024. Best veh I have ever driven. I absolutely love this veh. Plenty of power. Smooth ride. Quiet cabin. Can fully extend my legs at 6’1”. I will forever be an equinox driver. Thank you Chevrolet. Thumbs up.

It still gets the job done and that's what matters for a lot of people, and it really is a nice looking ride still.

I'd rather have the 6 speed than the CVT.

Biggest problem with them is that hand grenade Ecotech engine.

Even back in 67 Camaro days rs was always an appearance package SS was the performance
@scrambler69-xk3kvАй бұрын
Not always. I worked with a gentleman who owned a 1966 Chevrolet Nova SS. Yes he bought it new. and it was a six cylinder with a Powerglide. Buckets and a console with a floorshift. Hemmings classic cars magazine November 2015 featured a 1963 Impala SS convertible with a 230 cu. in. six and again a console floorshift for the Powerglide transmission. For many years SS was and appearance package.

Note I said always to rs but didn’t put always for SS ; )

It's great little SUV at good price. I do not care for futuristic look on inside. If it's new and works well I am good. All the complaints are pointless. Toyota just started doing updates on their lines after 10 years an everyone was still buying them. They did not care about a futuristic look on inside. If you someone that is rough on vehicles this is not for you.

Wow, I am old and still remember the days a vehicle had style and class. Today, I look at this one and see an ugly brick! Tastes have so badly changed in 50 years!

@@cantwealljustgetalong2 Have you looked at a Vette lately? Have you looked at a Honda Accord? Have you looked at a Tesla. None of these vehicles look like bricks.

For a 2024, it looks nearly identical to one’s sold in 2018. GM being cheap as always

Horrible vehicle! Noisy, cheap interior, high road noise, thankfully it was only rented for two days.

I have the 2019, it doesn't make noise, it's very quiet, its interior is quite quiet, not even the wipers make noise when using them, that interior is quite elegant, it hasn't given me any problems, it's not my first Chevrolet, I've been using them since 2001 and it is my favorite brand and will continue to be.

@@carlosovni7100 We just bought a 2023LT over the weekend and we love it. Quite the same experience, very quiet, very comfortable. We are life long Chevy drivers, my 2000 Blazer has over 305,000 miles.
