I love the turbo racing controllers like the P52 you mentioned in this video and I was thinking of getting one for my C75 but the reason I’m not getting it is because it doesn’t have the type c charger built into the controller which is something I love on the original controller because it makes it easier to take with you

It'll need a servo to pop the headlight and unfortunately there's none that would fit.

Imo the “drift” versions are actually best for racing, because of the lower grip tires making it more realistic. It’s not good for real drifting of course, but perfect for simulated high powered rwd racing with street tires (slight oversteering).

Just got F&F limited edition. I think its stock transmitter is far better than the one coming with Mini due to integrated charging port feature.

Hopefully the mfg is researching hard tires to see if it can drift. Might need a gyro built in though. I bet a proper drift car could be done in 1/64.

Already was 10 years ago and unfortunately discontinued...tomy Nano drift package lite...retailed for 50 bucks and now goes for 500 dollars from rip off ebay sellers lol

@@lowercentenary Thanks, I looked it up, looks cool. Hopefully a newcomer will do a proper micro drifter at a reasonable price soon. Quadcopter boards are small so I imagine a proper gyro drift car could be quite small.

I wish in RC car hobby some RC transmitter protocol becomes an industry standard and they will ship cars without remote - like it happens quad copter scene. I love having 100 cars but i hate owning (and paying) 100 remotes.

It used to be that you can install any receiver to the car. This works down to 1/28 but once they become smaller you'd wish there's a multiprotocol that can drive them all.

What do you think if we shift the battery behind and put some tape on the rear wheels will it drift?

Did the tape trick. It sort of worked but couldn't really hold it for long. It's kind of doing donuts but the steering isn't fast nor violent enough to make it fully drift.

Thanks for the info, there is indeed underglow but I filmed it in such a way that it doesn't show up.

@BeaversHobby that's a shame! but I wonder, if you covered the tyres with thin sellotape (like Scotch magic tape) would that make it slippery enough to drift on polished wooden tables or even glass tables?

@@pea2911 The trouble is not that it doesn't have power, it's because of the size and the lack of gyro. At this size physics works against it to be able to drift properly even with a gyro. Most you can do is some donuts and maybe figure of 8.

great video, subscribed. ever have any issues with transmitter losing connection? mine seems to lose connection every 30 seconds or so.

I've never got that. You can try re-binding it. There's a clip in the box that you can stick in the hole under the car to put it in bind mode and then turn on the transmitter to bind.

Yes, I think it'll work. Looks like RGT also uses TurboRacing transmitter like HobbyPlus.

I've bought this one and I've a binding problem. whenever Turn the RC car power on the binding is disconnected. So I have to re-bind whenevere I turn the car power on. How can I resolve this problem? Can you help me?

Sounds like it's faulty. Contact the shop for a replacement or compensation.

No, it's not compatible. The "FHSS" is just a generic name for frequency skipping method. The protocol is different so it won't work.

No, it can't. At least at the moment it isn't supported yet. I don't know if they are working on it but I certainly hope so.

You can use any mobile phone charger to charge it. It won't spoil the battery. No need to worry about that.

@@BeaversHobby Thanks! Banggood has a really good deal on these without transmitter so I was hoping there was a way since I have a Jumper T Pro. I might have to get one anyway just in case an update comes out. I heard these are actually made by radiomaster and they use Futaba FHSS but only a random post while searching last night.

Yes, you can. You can plug the USB into any 5V power source that you charge your phone whether it's a powerbank or a USB adapter. It doesn't come with an adapter but you can also charge it with the transmitter as I showed in the video at 4:32 .

Yes, it'll work great. But don't expect anything from the integrated AVC system. Use a dedicated gyro unit. Also you probably can't use the channel 3/4 to adjust gyro gain remotely either because its channel 3 and 4 is just simple switch, not VR knob.

Just commenting on your newest video in hopes itll reach you the best. I seen one of your videos regarding the wltoys 1/24 scale compared to the 1/28. You mentioned where the 1/24 lacks is the huge lack of upgradable parts. Now my question is regarding one that ive not seen you mention, the a949. Its the 1/18 scale rally, similar to the k989. Does the a949 suffer the same downside at its scale as the 1/24 scale, or is it more like the k989 and have lots of parts to experiment with. I want something that i can try alot of what your doing with the k989 but at a bit larger scale. 1/18 even up to 1/24 but you dont recommend the a242. Ill probably end up going with the k989 in the end though, just curious on your opinion of the 1/18 scale a949 as i knows its designed more like the k989, as opposed to the 959/979

@@DCleave9895 Thanks for the kind words. I don't personally have the A949 but I do follow the scene. It has plenty of upgrades that will strengthen the car as well as full aluminium upgrade. It's great for playing it outdoor and there's even 12mm wheel hex to install standard 1/10 wheel. You can do a lot with it.

Hey I noticed on some of your other videos you bind a TX16S to cars. Have you been able to do this with the turbo racers? I am interested in doing so. Recently got the 3rd anniversary ones that had 2 cars and 1 controller. If you know how and can share I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Unfortunately the Turbo Racing protocol doesn't work with multiprotocol yet. I'll be sure to make an update video once... or if they add it to the multiprotocol.
