"Impressive Bass"? Have I missed something? I ran in the speaker for a few days, but the sound quality in terms of definition, clarity and Bass in the UE Megaboom 3 is still no where near that of my old UE Boombox classic despite playing with the equalizer in the official App. When the marketing material mentioned "Thundering bass" and it's no where near to that of the old speaker, then to me, that's a problem. Admittedly, at the moment, I struggle to understand all the Rave reviews over the internet.

Micro usb has a smaller PCB board than the usc-C where as the latter would potentially takes to much vital space for like the battery as the battery is situated behind the charge port and the sound quality I assume would suffer for the this..... In my humble opinion.... Though please correct me if I'm wrong, I'd love to know more as I have the UE MEGABOOM 3 in the blue colour

Honestly most people won't care for usbc because everyone is used to micro usb. J own 6 or 7 micro cables so I don't see a purpose for usbc

USB c has a ton of reasons to get used to the change! First of all, you can plug in the device either way; no more flipping your cable around three times to get it to plug in. One and done. Also, it can be used for more than just charging. I'd call it the all in one cable. It supports charging, sound, display to a monitor or tv, ethernet, sd card reading, and so much more! Plus for charging it is 2x faster than usb b 3.0 if 'm not mistaken. It's the future of devices, even some apple devices are switching to it.

I purchased a Megaboom 3 in 2019. Thinking of purchasing another as well as a long range, apTX HD and LL bluetooth transmitter/receiver to do wireless sets. Do you know if the MB3 has apTX HD and LL compatibility?

Its weird but my old mega boom is not as tinny sounding ,as my new mega boom 3. Sometimes old speakers are better!

The bass is pretty bad. Just returned my MegaBoom 3 to the store after a week of trying to like it. Tried several softwares to try to boost the bass but nothing brought it up enough. So, if you like deep bass this is not for you, other than that it does sound great i have to admit.

It is much better, because it has bass. UE is just upper bass, which sounds hollow and dull UE is muffled too

No its trash battery life sucks full blast give you only like 5 to 6 hours while the JBL charge 3 gives you almost like 12 hours full blast! And they are both the same loudness

FYI, USB C is probably in the same situation as ethernet through HDMI. Some manufacturers tried it and it will (probably in this case too) not succeed.

Ultimate Ears sucks. Had 2 megabooms but they both died within a year (rattling bass, known issue, design flaw).Customer support sucks, never gonna buy a product of them again.
