How would you rate Vietcong: Purple Haze?

So they ported the expansion pack, but not the original game? Color me baffled x.x Great coverage as always mate, nice to hear someone else appreciates looking at games in context of their release too :D

It's a shame, I always thought this one looked really cool back in the day.

Another excellent Review Dude I wouldnt worry to much man, you are correct in what you say, you always take your Reviews seriously, and you never focus on just the negative. You always hit the game as a whole, taking into account Good, Bad and Questionable aspects. I wish more reviewers did that, especially the so called "Professional Reviewers" in most game magazines. Personally they tend to come off as average Steam Reviewers with better editing. So thank you for how you approach these review. Keep doing your things dude.

i just found out about this game and im wondering which old console to get now

Idk man I’d give it closer to 3.5-4 stars. I just picked up SOCOM 3 and Vietcong purple haze on PS2 and i played both but really ive set SOCOM 3 to the side for now and have been digging the classic tactical shooter vibe. It’s almost like early rainbow six or something like that. I just wish I had a gamer friend that was down to play the multiplayer with me.

I just picked this game up today at a local swap meet for about $60... I played it and i thought it was a pretty solid game. The only thing i didnt like was the story but overall its still good gameplay

as someone who has purple Haze I feel like you're going a little too hard on it its simply a product of its time and you never explain why it's boring

Love this game. Is red dawn a dlc for purple haze because i dont know what the content download is on xbox.

It's literally a downgraded version of Vietcong fist alpha it has the same missions remember buying purple haze and being disappointed because it was literally the same game I had for PC but a downgrade

Tried this game on a buddy's Xbox back in the day. Even as a child, I recognized the game as a complete piece of shit. This title has always been on my short-list of worst games of all time.

I had a friend that was playing that game he said he loved i was playing ssx so i didn't care about any other game at the time.lol

I liked it.. I cud spend hours playing this game.. N yeah the best tip of the game was just prone n the bullets wud not hit u 🤧😂

That game looks horrendous! For a 2004 title it's very bad, there so many better games out at that time (even before it). I don't know how Sony approves these games? They haven't learned their lesson for the PS4 and still approve garbage games, if you watch a video on "life of black tiger" you'll see what i mean lol.
