Absolutely loved your reviews!! YES to everything you said about Wickwire, that had such an addictive air of intrigue and eccentricity which just kept me turning the pages. I think the series only gets better, you are in for a treat! 🤩 DotB is one I am going into with an open mind, and Master of the Void sounds like a delightful chunky fantasy to get immersed in! Can't wait for more of your reviews, happy reading 🥰

Thats so great to hear 🤩 is it just a trilogy or are there more books coming? I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts on DotB because I think there are some really good ideas in there

These were great reviews, I'm really looking forward to your next ones :) I've read and enjoyed The Wickwire Watch, it is definitely an intriguing story and I feel the author does great at character creation and the writing style is great too! Have yet to pick up the other 2. Master of the Void daunts me with its size (yes, I love but fear 500+ page books haha) and Daughter of the Beast I'm curious about but have yet to read it myself (spinner wheel hasn't given me this one since I started using it for my selection process)

Thank you so much for the kind words ☺️ I will say that Master of the Void didn’t feel overly long for its 500+ page chunky status, but I completely understand the feeling of commitment before you pick up a big book haha!

I read The Wickwire watch last year and books 2 and 3 they are maybe even better, because the stakes are getting higher and these characters are amazing. I hope you enjoy the rest if you pick them up. I am really curious about Master of the Void, I have not had the chance yet but it is on my list to read together with Daughter of the beast, I may give it a try, why not ! :) Thanks for this summary!

Yay I hope you enjoy them!! I don’t know when I’ll fit the Wickwire sequels into my plans, but I really do want to know how the story continues ☺️

Yoooo! What a rad wee video! Bummer DotB didn't work for you, but man, that was a wonderful and really well-reasoned review regardless! I hope the rest of the SPFBO batch makes up for it! 😊

I loved The Wickwire Watch. Book 2 is great and I'm in the middle of book 3 and loving it as well. The audiobooks are top notch also. I'm in the middle of Daughter of the Beast and I don't hate it, but haven't felt called to pick it up lately...other books keep dragging me away. I've only read one John Gwynne book and didn't enjoy it much at all, so maybe you're onto something with the comparison even though they're very different content-wise.

I never even considered the audiobooks, what a great idea! I’ll look into that! They are indeed not similar books but I’m glad to have my weird comparison validated 😆
