I missed Terror in Talabheim! here's my review- it had a great description of Talabheim and a module I haven't played. Everything I said about the Paths of the Damned applies to that book too. Thanks Reddit for pointing out my error :)

On the spear: It's a very long stick. It should be awkward to carry and fight with indoors. I would probably increase the bulkiness and add a -10 WS penalty when fighting in confined spaces. It is important to understand the books are by default set right after the great Scourge of Chaos campaign, when most villages were destroyed or abandoned, so the prices of goods would be very different than what you expect a stable economy to have. Old World Armory is actually a really nice book if you want to make an episodic campaign where characters live in a settlement of some kind and spend weeks, months, or even years between scenarios. It includes rules for income, and a bunch of hirelings.

God, I love the Tome of Corruption.

I DM'ed A Thousand thrones campaign. It took a year to run. Very fun. *SPOILERS!* It was a journey from Marienburg, all through the Empire, up to Kislev, going on a mad chase with vampires, zealots, nurgle cultists and all the major Vampire-clans. This was the last adventure module released by Sabretooth games before they closed up, from what I remember. Oh, and my group, in th canon of this adventure, Nagash was ressurrected, because of the players' actions - A much more satisfying return for him, than the whole of the End times, and ended up being our fanon storyline for The Old world, rather than End times :D

Great video! I started running WFRP recently and every session has been a blast for me and the players. I feared that playing this after having played D&D 5e for such a long time would be underwhelming for the players but they loved the system and the combat, and embraced the reality of character death and even think now it is crucial for the game to be so fun. In Old World Armoury there are a set of special rules for best quality weapon stats, which give qualities to different hand weapons or great weapons, it's a great reward for warriors especially in this game where there is very little magic items.

Tome of corruption is amazing! Ran a chaos focused campaign that went for about 3 years before life got in the way

Great review, the advantage hand weapons have is they can be used as a parry with other weapons including the shield, spears cannot. Otherwise your right, the spear is better in every way.

I really like the fact that spears are so powerful couse spears are actually so powerful in real life, still, i don't like the fact that the book acts like every one handed weapon is exactly the same one in fact a hammer and a sword are pretty different. Also great video!

Spears actually had one massive disadvantage to normal handweapons. They did not profit from the 2 weapon rules and thus did not give you a free parry when used with a shield. It has been a few years since I checked though, so I might be wrong.

2nd Edition is the ONLY one that matters!

I think that Knights of the Grail is not as good (lore-wise) compared to Sigmar's Heirs and Realm of the Ice Queen and it's a shame. Also, my favourite book is Tome Of Salvation. It has so much informations about religions and helps you to better understand the life in the Empire.

You can't really conceal a spear on you as well as say a hammer. I agree that the rules should be more different. But there *are* differences between spears and hand weapons that may not be of a rules character.

Spear should 100% be better than a hand weapon. What makes a hand weapon good is convenience of carrying and self defense in urban areas. Spears are weapons of war, and PC’s would get questioned if walking into town with a loaded AR-15 and body armor. There are RP/social reasons for the differences. Imagine going around shopping in town and visiting churches with a spear in hand. Plus, weapons shouldn’t be balanced anyway. Some are just simply superior.
