Fun Fact: I use to be a tour guide in the Seattle Underground... It wasn't prohibition, the underground tunnels used to be the normal sidewalks, and where the storefronts were, due to constant flooding the city needed to raise the city up and during that process left the original sidewalks there and raised the streets first. When you walk into an old building in Seattle you're usually entering on the second floor.
