I've been meaning to find a replacement for my aging Logitech Trackball Marble, so I figured the Elecom HUGE Trackball might be a good fit. Alas, I was not impressed. #trackball #logitech #elecom #mouse #review

Hi Tim; First, Thank You for the Recent Video's, I always enjoy them.. I am Glad to see You back in the swing of things.. Secondly, I'm a Mouse person my self.. They fit my hand just right and work for me.. I tried the mini-mouse and they worked, but the cables failed way too soon, for me.. I also tried the Wire-less Mouse and they fit fine, but like You said, they would cut out alot of the time.. So, a plain old Mouse, is what works for me .. I run the cable so it is out of the way, and so that is no problem.. THANK YOU Marty

Thanks Marty. Glad to be back. I use a trackball on my Linux machine and a mouse on my Mac. I'm just weird, lol.

The shape fits me OK, I just bought this thing, and giving it a spin. You have to switch off the crappy windows USB power management stuff in Windows, or its laggy. Also, it's sticky at first but apparently improves with use. I love that I can use my thumb to click! Double-clicking with the forefinger on a normal mouse was unpleasant, but with the thumb, it's great! I have to get used to it. Also I ought train myself to spin wheel more to scroll, and use the back-forward buttons! So far, so good, anyway, but let's see if I can get used to using a trackball. It's experimental, this.

How about the deft pro model? It´s very similar to this HUGE model but designed for smaller hands

yes and with three connection mode wired, 2.4G and Bluetooth

You should have tried the wired model. I have used the same Logitech mouse as you for ages and I wish that it had a couple of programmable knobs and maybe a wheel too, although you can manage without by selecting what you do. Logitech is otherwise perfect!

I know this is a little late but this was originally made for the Japanese market so hence why your hand does not fit the mold. Works for us okay size wise but for the western market everyone is just a little larger there. I also think the wired version is the way to go. The wireless one has known connection issues with the dongle.

You cannot go wrong with the MX Ergo, worth the 100

Yeah, I’ll have to give it a try. Though, I have tried a thumb-ball before and it gave me pain. So I think I’ll try one of the Kingston trackballs next….

@@TimMorgan I bought a Kensington Expert weeks ago. I find it comfortable with it's wrist rest. Also the scroll ring is amazing.

It's a new take on retro computing! Instead of recreating the technology of the era, recreate the relative size difference between your younger self and the computer.

Haha 😂I never considered that!

Anyone uses this for Flight Sim?

I use 2 32" monitors. Anyone use this trackball with that kind of real estate?
@YuryKhristich Жыл бұрын
I'm using 3 monitors (20-24") with Kensington Slimblade for almost couple years. And it works even better than mouse if you want to shot the cursor over a long distance. As for the precise movements it does the job surprisingly well, but frankly any modern decent mouse works better. For me a trackball is more about comfort for my hand than about preciseness of cursor moving.
