This is basically a Pilot, just need some minimal voice input, and see you guys on a network in the future. Congratz! on destroying anyone else here on this category..lol

I am so proud to call Oregon home. This past summer as part of a conservation corps program I lived and worked near this trail for about month, reconstructing this trail and the trails around it and rebuilding trails that had been lost from fires. It is one of my favorite memories in my life so far. This area is absolutely stunning and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity and to have grown up in a state with such an abundance of natural beauty.

You're so lucky to live in a country big enough to encompass just about every landscape known to man, parched desert, beautiful soothing green valleys, wide prairies, icy tundra, mountains and swamps. It must be heartening to know that all of it is just a few hours air travel away and you're still protected by the same country.

Robert Romero Mmm, so, you’d prefer to witness the destruction of our planet than live without a few “conveniences” is that right? Did I read your response correctly? Finally, as this is still America where each person has the right to say what we wish, I will always urge others to do the right thing. It should be clear to anyone over the age of 10 that our planet is in dire straights and the time to act is NOW, not in a decade or two. We must make changes now to correct things! But you stand up for whatever it is you believe in. We are still Americans and, as such, we are free to do (or not do) what we think best. Have a nice day and thank you for your comment. Take good care and be well. 😊

@@bryanfarts822 There are no such things as gods or Gods...never have been; never will be...and we've created thousands since our time in the caves. In fact, many of us never really left the caves. As to the relative merits of various lab tests, tell it to those in our hospitals gasping for breath. One of my docs is a pulmonary specialist and he's working day and night trying to keep these almost entirely unvaccinated people alive in our 1000 bed med. center. I told him that I think he's interfering with natural selection and both delta and effective/safe vaccines can speed up the process of weeding out those in the shallow end of the intellectual pool. The Eagle Creek Trail is a part of the Pacific Coast Trail, & includes a short cut tunnel though a rock formation & the amazing Devil‘s Punchbowl both seen on this video. It extends all the way to Wahtum lake (about 12-13 miles from where it begins at Eagle Creek Campground near Bonneville Dam). I have experienced this trail from Boy Scouts into my summer trail servicing with the Forest Service while in college. There are (or were) several parts of the trail that at the time I knew it were only about between 2 & 3 feet wide with a sheer drop of a couple hundred feet to the creek below. Hand rails against the corresponding rock face were welcome but most of the trail was not dangerous & appears as seen on this video. It’s been nearly 30 years since I was last on this trail but, judging by the video above, it still seems in pretty good shape. The elevation gain is gradual so the trail is not particularly strenuous. Just be careful with what I mentioned earlier.

Likewise, at age 63, with fallen arches, bowed legs, and arthritic knees, and having broken both feet, gone through a quadruple heart bypass, and a hip operation (to remove an infection), watching these videos is the probably the closest I'll ever get to making one of these hikes.

If the Homeward Bound movie was part of your childhood, then this may well be the case. Parts of it were filmed nearby to this location.

I hiked that trail over 35 years ago. This is just one example of the raw beauty of Oregon and Washington Cascade mountain trails. I would love to find out the history of that tunnel in the rock behind the waterfall.

@@jameswatson5405 yes sir, it’s one of the most beautiful I’ve been on. My wife n I traveled here from Arizona, I was astonished at the amount of “green” and water there. I really enjoyed the big bowl further down the river. The people weren’t as friendly as I am accustomed to ( Tucson AZ) but the trail was sure a sight to see and walk

I was able to hike up to Wahtum lake before the fire shut down the trail...the side trail leading to where you jump has a sign up saying it's a $300 fine if you jump and they cut a bunch of big branches to somewhat block off the path leading to the jump spot....I'm glad I jumped years ago before tourist ruined my favorite cliff jumping spot.
