Like the lady whose daughter was a cleaner, I too realised I could look around while washing dishes and clearing tables and mopping floors and imagine a new idea about myself. At first it was a stretch for my mind, I had been cleaning for well over a decade, but I told myself I had at least 8 hours doing the dishes standing in the same position only moving my arms, I could repeat the thoughts until my brain accepted that I too can be like those tech executives. The day I accepted it, I enrolled to a community college, from there I made a 5 year plan, 5 years later, 3 engineering degrees later I now work in tech with direct reports under me, and still climbing and "promoting myself". Promote yourself in your mind first, once you accept a new idea of you, a path will be made clear for you.

You know I once was young and now in my golden years. I ❤am so happy to say Rev. Ike was right all those years and my Christian faith was "asset" backwards in terms of improper interpretation of the Bible Bob Procter, an amazing 👏 👏 mentor on utube where I discovered him before he transitioned over a year ago. Stand in agreement with me, our mom is in a nursing doing quite well. She has settled in and we recently bought her a refrigerator that the facility had approved at the time of enrollment. Now they feel like the "upkeep" is a too much on them and said they will be unpluggingit. Our family takes care of everything except the medical part. This little appliance has made my mom so happy and she's deep in prayer to be allowed to keep it. Please say a treatment for her. She has 2 names from the Bible, Zephaniah Esther. I Am victorious, no one's negative agenda is going to take my joy, the God-in me says I can have whatever my heart desires, there is no one and no thing that can stand in the way of what I want, I deserve this fridge in my room, this fridge will stay in my room. 🙏🏾

We are sorry that you are dealing with this. It's difficult when you have additional barriers to go through to get what you need or want. And it's frustrating to hear someone tell you to keep at it, to keep a positive attitude and that you'll get through this. But it's true. The first step is always in your mind; you have to believe you will get a job. Not just any job, but the right one for you. We would like to share some practical advice that we have found to work: volunteer. If you can, find somewhere to volunteer at, even for just a few hours a week, while you look for work. Not only will this keep you productive, but you're donating your time and effort, which will come back to you tenfold. You've got to give to get. You will also be introduced to new people who will see your work ethic first hand; people who might know of someone hiring and can vouch for you. It opens opportunities.
