I was in Vegas when they were taking the Dunes down. DI was in my mid 20’s. My dad stayed there in the 60’s. He was a huge Sinatra and Rat Pack fan and went to Vegas to see them. Love your videos, you live the life!

44 years in Vegas ..not 1 time have i gone to the strip to watch fireworks ....to get the best view ...drive to out skirts of city to see sky line of the strip and you can watch all the fireworks from every hotel

I enjoyed watching your latest video, Las Vegas looks intense. i visited it once when I was a child back in the 70’s, it was very different then of course. To bad about the lost Death Valley footage. I’m looking forward to seeing your California videos, it’s where I’m from and it’s fun seeing all the places I knew. Your still resentful about the lemons! I remember watching that incident I laughed then and I here I am laughing again. Sorry for finding your trauma funny.

Hi Robert! Returning to your channel after almost a year!! Have been binge watching your #SUMMER2019 episodes since past 3-4 days...and now all caught up to here (Ep 14). Looking forward to your further adventures. I must say I have seen more of the USA through your videos than I could ever hope to and am thoroughly enjoying it. I do not know if I will ever get a chance to visit the USA in person or even if I'll be able to afford to, getting a visa is also a matter of luck, so till such a time comes, your videos allow me to be a happy virtual tourist from the comfort of my home. So, Thank You for that. :) I hate crowds and chaotic crowded places too......to the point of being mildly agoraphobic at times.

Hi Robert, I started watching your video after I've seen the one where you did the Grand Teton and Yellowstone, anyways, I like your video so I started to watch more. Now here I was started watching your summer 2019 video series, you probably already aware of that strange artifacts you passed in this video 15:20 that's seven magic mountain. I have a photo on that one when we went to Vegas last January 2020 before the pandemic.

We camped on Mt. Charleston in Summer of 2016 instead of staying down in Vegas and it was wonderful. Nice and cool.

We stayed at Sam's Town back in 2013, before it became a KOA. It was 114* and we were lucky enough to get a spot in the shade.

Ha! First time I’ve seen this one. While you were in Las Vegas I was in San Francisco watching the fireworks. We were in las Vegas three days later, and that was after we felt the earthquake while we were in Mammoth Lakes on the 5th of July. We had some kind of experience when we did our road trip that year.

Thank you for the glimpse into Las Vegas' chaos on July 4th. When I was there several years ago, I contibuted to its wealth by "donating" five quarters to the gambling machines :-) ! Something tells me the fireworks crowd this year will be a little less!!!! My wife and I were there in June 98 for our honeymoon. They were still working on the fountain. And putting the finishing touches on the hotel.

Goooooood morning! Well, I have no desire to see Vegas but Mt Charleston, Hoover Dam, and Lake Mead are on my list. Sorry about your Death Valley video. I was wondering how you keep track of SD cards and what is on them? It seems to be some sort of secret how people put together a video. Editing the video, putting what seems to be the perfect music and voice over. You do an awesome job!

Alma Morales I don’t think he his a fan of Vegas maybe too many people for him , you have to accept it for what is , a fun place for most people , an most people will never get to see it , nothing to moan about really you know what to expect before you go there , other wise why go .

I love Las Vegas because 2 reasons: for the hotels with different architecture and because it is very easy to fly to Grand Canyon.🎄

Oliver JH it’s a nice place too haha otherwise over 2 million people and growing wouldn’t live here! there are some great areas for families off the strip, high end low end, restaurants and shops of all kinds and lots of local brands now! most days are sunny too, no need to shovel your car at 6am and what not. My favorite part is that we are growing into a global city before our eyes. When most big cities have done that already, we will get to see it all grow now. I can’t even imagine what Vegas will look like in 10 years!

If you'd had a better vantage point to see the fireworks, it would have been more impressive: multiple casinos launch their fireworks simultaneously. I live right behind the Strip so we get to see a more panoramic view from our balcony. Anyway, hopefully you'll come back once the pandemic is over.

At first I was a little disappointed that we didn't get the Wednesday video (as promised), but then I thought, ;heck, let Traveling Robert have his Christmas. He deserves it. It's not like he does that whole '12 days' thing. You don't do like an orthodox Christmas too, do you? Kwanza can tack on a few days, I hear. Anyway, I hope you and Illy and your Mom and the rest of your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. You take as much time off from editing as you feel is appropriate, Robert. Chihole ? would be nice to experience first hand! He had a show at the Batonical Gardens in Coral Gables many years ago. Will they let you film there?

I dont know why but I have never been interested in the city of Las Vegas, watching youtube about the city do not help either. But the nature around the city is interesting. I think for me Vegas is a point you drive to only to say I have been there. Cant wait for California.

4th of July in Vegas ...Ridiculous! Hot and too many people. They have the scantily clad females right in your face everywhere. I love the part where you are watching the Bellagio water fountain display and you insert a little of your tune. Glad you and your wife got to have some alone time without camera. Sorry about lost footage. Its ok We have seen it.

Your video conveyed the chaos of what was happening Robert! However I have always though Las Vegas is an overrated destination, and I would be more excited about traveling the Grand Canyon, or visiting Austin or Nashville, more than this city, but each to their own.

AnotherDayInParadise well think of another American city that has a massive multi billion dollar resort corridor that is world famous and packed with restaurants, clubs, gaming, convention venues, etc. with no standard of architecture and big bright lights. Not to mention the city around it is growing fast (as you can tell by Vegas people complaining about traffic all the time now) and there’s a little over 2 million people now in the valley. The energy on the strip can be incredible, lovely seeing thousands of people from all over happily drinking away in public and forgetting about life for a bit. Excited to see where Vegas goes in the future with all the new developments on and off the strip!
