The R32 Subway car was contracted by the New York City Transit Authority in 1963 and built by the Budd Company of Philadelphia Pennsylvania in 1964.
I thought it would be interesting to revisit the original R32 delivery locations before they are completely unrecognizable - almost 60 years later.
Recorded March, 2023.

Gonna make an effort to visit the Long Island City Waterfront sometime soon. It would be fun to imagine seeing the R32's barge pull in!

It's really nice. The entire waterfront is all parks now. I'd recommend visiting during weekday rush hours as you can see some LIRR action at LIC one block over from the waterfront.

Many many R32's were dumped into the Atlantic Ocean to create artificial reefs (aka fish condo's) so that smaller fishes have shelters to escape from the bigger fishes down there as well.
