Revit Video Tutorial Transcript:
This is a video tutorial in Revit 2022, demonstrating a method of adding a sloped roof with sloped glazing to have separate windows attached to the roof. First, we will demonstrate how to construct the sloped glazing using the roof by footprint tool found in the architecture tab. To find the correct angle, we use the annotation tool: spot slope. Once we have constructed the sloped glazing, we will then construct the entire sloped roof over top of the glazing. To do this, we once again use roof by footprint to construct the area of the roof. Once the roof is made, we use the angle found from the spot slope tool to change the slope of the roof. To correct roof positioning, we use the move tool and select the roof into desired location. The final step is to add holes to the roof to see the glazing. To do this, we use the shaft tool: opening by face, found in the architecture tab. Once selected, we click on the roof, and change the graphic display to wireframe to see the boundaries of the glazing. Using the shaft tool, we can outline each window and finish editing mode. Once complete, there is now a sloped roof which includes separate sloped windows.
