These tutorials saved me, I learned Sketchup and Rhino in school. I couldn't find a job afterwards because I didn't know Revit, but these tutorials gave me the foundation to start learning more complex things in Revit.

Thank you so much for your videos! I'm doing my project by referencing your tutorials and it's super helpful! I've been avoiding Revit for such a long time and your straight forward instructions are really making the "comeback" much easier. :)

At 12:16 you measure the balcony extension to be exactly 650, an then you create the stairs to match this dimension. I was wondering why you need to expand the overhang later so that they actually match, and it seems to be because when you select the second floor for the stairs run, the width reverts to 1000, instead of the desired 650. You may want to add a comment on top of the video to clarify this, since it threw me off that you needed to adjust the overhang.

why need to redraw he whole stairs when making changes? is that the only way? cant we try to change the setting after it was drawn?

Just curious, if you know the overall height from floor to floor and have a max rise and run for each step can’t the software figure it out for you???

Just bought your course it’s great! Would you consider in the future doing a building design course from concept to finish including implementing the NCC?
@kylesinko2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! I can definitely add it to my list. A building design course from start to finish is something I've wanted to do for a while. Only a few percent of my audience is from Australia so it might be a bit irrelevant relating it to the NCC, plus I'm not exactly an expert on the code either. I appreciate the request though!

At around 12:50 ish you create the stairs, and then delete them and redraw with adjusted parameter (in this case stair width) cannot you adjust the paramtres of previously modeled stair? Or is it just the way you preffer to work in those early stages? Also, it is not possible to adjust geometry in 3D view? (the slab aligment to the stair) Thanks for answer.
@edriellecalingasan2882 Жыл бұрын
in my exp tho still a beginner one, you can adjust it in parameters. and also yeah in 3d view if you prefer that way.

Hi i am doing a circulating stair (not spiral) it's like a stair is circulating an elevator core, the issue is on the 1st flight the width of the stair is 1200mm, as it turns the corner of the elevator core, the 2nd and 3rd flight the width is 1050mm, how do i connect this 2 types of stair width ?
@kylesinko Жыл бұрын
It can get tricky, but you will have to draw the stairs by sketch and specify the width of each stair manually. You will need to draw in the risers, stair boundary and direction manually.

If you have drawn walls first it would be so easy. May be I m taught in US it feels kinda different from Aus.
