Hello Bin He, Another great video, thank you. Question, I have created a small building with cladding wall roof material with a CLT lining. The front of the building is open as a verandah, and the CLT shows. How would I do a custom Fascia finish for this?

Sir How We can make skylight in the roof regarding same tutorial as well as window and doors
@BINHE6153 жыл бұрын
Yes, once you copy and roof and change it into a sloped glazing, edit the profile or footprint and pick the boundary of the window/door/skylight. Let me know if you still have questions.

I'm trying to individually select the glazing and it's not allowing me, what should I do?

Probably because you have the Select Pinned Element off? (Sorry, not sure what the name is, it’s one of the option in the bottom right corner)

Hi Bin He, what's the reason that you don't recommend this method for real projects? Thanks

Having multiple walls at the same location is not good, also you might duplicate the doors and windows when you duplicate the walls. Sometimes you have to deal with the system panels because you can’t have empty panels for non-rectangular shape panel. So, unless you need it for render, I suggest you use surface pattern. :)

@@BINHE615 So basic wall with horizontal reveal is better?
@BINHE61511 ай бұрын
@@trevorbelmont4633 It depends. I only use Reveal for simple patterns. When the pattern becomes complicated, I will use Face-based Void. For claddings like standing seam, Curtain Wall is the easiest option; it's also possible with a beam system. However, I only use these methods when I need a more realistic render. Once the render is complete, I will delete them and only use material surface patterns.

Im not trying to be disrespectful to you, you a great person with a lot of good tutorial. I made a metal sheet roof family template but whatever i use it as roof cladding on top of a roof i have problem cutting some holes in it for windows. I wish i can send you a picture, do you have facebook page??
@BINHE6152 жыл бұрын
No problems, questions are always welcomed. I'm not sure what the metal sheet roof family template is. One of the methods is to create a face-based family with a void cutting the base, so when you load it into your project it will cut a hole on your "metal sheet roof family template". Another method is to use sloped glazing to create the standing seams, just like what I did in this video. You can simply edit the profile and add a shape to create the void.
