Revit Tutorial - Double Door Family (Parametric)

In this video, I have created a parametric paneled double door in the door template file. You can change the height and width of this door and also rotate it any desired angle.

After setting door swing to 0 then if I change the swing to other angle...The reference line is not aligning properly...what might be the reason

Hi，It's really helpful but may i know why after i adding the reference planes for the horizontal profiles, then i change the door open angle in the family types, the system shows "Constraints are not satisfied"? The steps round 8:50 in your video

Thank your for the feedback. I have applied material in many other tutorials of families and project files. So it was kind of getting a repetitive part in every tutorial. I will try to create a separate tutorial on the material application in the families.

Whatever i did, couldnt align the reference line to the horizontal line. Theres no little blue dot and when i press align, the line falls on the horizontal one. Anyone knows how can i solve this?

You have to press the TAB button on keyboard for that blue dot to appear.

Mam, i cant select the panel reference line while using the extrusion comment and pick plane. When i click the reference plane go to view comment box open. Please help

I can't find the family template for the door, but the window is available.

Try to reinstall the software. It might be possible that due to poor internet connection (when you were installing the software), the templates are missing.

When you ref. line a blue dot will appear when aligning the line (door panel), but not when I do. Why?

If the blue dot does not appear, simple press the TAB button on keyboard, till you see the blue dot.

hello there i cannot get the blue dot to appear at the end of the line

If it does not appear, press the TAB button on keyboard while keeping the cursor at that point, and it will appear.

The cursor should be at that exact corner where you want the blue dot to appear. And it would change from one line to another but ultimately the blue dot will appear.

im stuck 2 minutes into the video. i think im missing something since the little blue dot never appears. i have tried recreating both the reference lines and planes but there was never a blue dot.

never mind i figured out how to do it after reading the comments. had to press tab
