If you ask me, I'd tell you to pick up a brand new 212, fit a billet rod and a Hemi piston, along with a fresh pair of valve springs, to suit the mod2. and of course, the PVL flywheel you have. It's basic, reasonably powerful and reliable (as long as you drill out the oil return and fit a breather line with a PCV (the hole where the oil sensor was is as good as any, so the governor arm hole can be filled it a bolt, or cap screw)

I have a full stock Honda GX160 currently on my minibike but the governor keeps limiting it by cutting off the throttle . I think I might sell it and just install a tillotson 212 that has 10 horsepower out of the box which I don’t need to anything but enjoy it. I Meeks no financial sense to spend upwards of 300 dollars to modify it and still not be at its full potential, for less than 300 I can get something already built.

According to taryl fixes all you can get different thickness gaskets to adjust the end play on the crankshaft

Cool looking wee bike. Our pitbikes are just small scramblers with the likes of 140-160 cc 4/ engine's. No big fat tyres. Is john into motorbikes/dirtbikes?

Well... What you could do is use the crankshaft out of the running engine in the new block then measure up your rods and piston. The crankshaft in the new block may be a clone crankshaft instead of a GX160 crankshaft. Clones have a 54mm stroke, GX160 has a 45mm stroke. You can't use a Predator rod on anything but a Predator crankshaft. It has nothing to do with bearing size and everything to do with the oddball Predator crankshaft. If I were building a GX160 I would use an ARC 6770 rod with a UT2 piston. That's a PVL flywheel. It's a good one.

you need 70 tooth sprocket. i bolted a mtd sprocket on mine . cant ride in woods with a 60

Believe it or not but i bought a bike just like that for 25 bucks, the engine3 was sh1t so i put a predator 224cc on it but after a year of heavy daily riding it blew up, that was the first and last time i would buy a 224.

I'm not an 'armchair' mechanic by any means,(I use a swivel-rocker ;),so I'd say you should do as you please.Perhaps sell the useless parts and invest in a 'Duromax 225'?
