One thing he says in the video that should resonate is, these guys should continue to make music period. As the audience gets older, the music we listened to is what we want. I personally dont care for most of the newer artist. Just not my sound. So I revert back to the guys I grew up listening to. And with that I would like to hear new music from them.

I was stationed in Jacksonville in 05, ran into Slim by himself at Regency Mall during Superbowl Week. Told him I was from Texas and was a big fan. He showed loved and signed some stuff for me.

I'm originally from The Bronx, NYC now I live here in Midland, TX. It's definately different. Texas is definately different. I"ve been to Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, Lubbock, and of course Odessa (17 miles away from Midland). These folks need some East Cost lovin' especially when it comes to the food, culture and Fashion. These folks needs lots of love. But I'm not mad at it. I'm raising my son out here, and so far so good. It's jus that the public schools aren't the best either. Just like other cities, Midland has its issues too.
