I expected this to be horrible but that was very good, definitely not perfect but if I saw that live I would still enjoy it. And the description directly says they got the highest award possible. (which I don't know about this competition but I know some performing arts competition will give the highest rank to half the contestants but I don't know for sure.)

Trust me its really exhausting, I'm in sixth grade and me and my thestee camp group are performing this number and its so tiring to sing and dance and the same time. But these people look way older than sixth grade so it must've been even tiring for them and the dance was way harder I domt know how they did all that, im usual exhausted and gasping for air 30 seconds in the dance and its 2 x harder for me as I have to sing soprano in the song

It wasn't the best but instead of hating I'll leave constructive critisism: 1. If someone's singing by themselves with a mic, don't make them dance. They'll run out of breath and have a shakey voice unless they're professionally trined (Yes, it' possible) 2. Being dramatic is good and I like the attempt but try not to be way over dramatic. 3. The singers (who aren't Bruce) should sing louder because a mic is a lot louder than your voices and we can only hear Bruce.

All the Advanced theatre nerds have heard this call for help. 1. They are clearly running out of breathe quickly. For a routine like this you need to practice having a steady voice at home not just at rehearsals. For an example: Jog and sing the the song how you would for rehearsals. 2. Bruce's vocals slay but they need to stay that way. So I would recommend having the actor not dance as much as the ensemble. 3. DICTION. I get that it's a hard song to do when there's so much dancing but that's what practice is for. Most of the time I couldn't understand what the ensemble was singing same with Bruce when his vocals are suppose to stand out at times. 4. BRUCE YOU HAVE GOOD VOCALS SO PROJECT IT AND LET ME HEAR IT. 5. What is the choreography going on with the two boys in the back it seems so separated and awkward from everyone else. 6. The chairs are so noisy over everyone singing. Overall it's not terrible it just needed more work.
@apena41703 жыл бұрын
It was the "Thank You" at the end for me😂💀
@stussyyy6 жыл бұрын
you guys did a pretty good job, i think it would've been better if you took out a majority of the tricks out because tends be to look sloppy or incredibly distracting, especially when those two guys were throwing that chair in the background. Some vocal points tended to lose its diction and you can hear the strained vocals near the end of the song, that plays into the less tricks comment, it gives you time to stabilize your breathing and have a stronger and dynamic sound. I'm currently a choir competition singer and also a show choir singer so these critics weren't meant to hurt but rather give you advice if you were to do this performance again :)

This was really good! I have a few suggestions for next time coming from a performer- -practice singing whilst doing something energetic, for example jogging on the spot, so that your voice gets used to using a lot of breath and energy whilst moving, and remains steady. -try not to include distractions like the people fighting upstage and the acrobatic tricks halfway through downstage. People tend to be drawn to the ‘odd ones out’, which distracts an audience. For example, if you went to see a show at your local theatre, you naturally can tell which performers are in the zone and which ones are thinking about what they are having for dinner, which can really downplay a whole sequence or scene. -Instead, if you want to have a really clean dance, ensure everyone does the same choreography and knows what they are doing. This means there are a lot less things to look at and the whole sequence will be easier to look at, as your eyes won’t be wandering to the dancer doing fouettés stage left in contrast to everyone else performing aggressive choreography. -another suggestion is to watch the West End or Broadway choreography for revolting children. Obviously, don’t copy their exact choreography, but something I really enjoy watching about it is halfway through, maybe 3 children will be singing one part doing their own thing whilst all the other children are frozen for a few seconds, so all the focus is primarily on one group. I think it’s in the “We can S-P-L how we like...” sequence. My point is, your choreography is really good, you have all of the gists and tones, but it just needs cleaning up.

This is actually pretty good. Though the slapping on the floor and the extra noise of the chairs drained out the singers voices quite a bit since they were out of breath. Even though they were extremely out of breath, I don’t blame them since this song is pretty difficult to sing

To be honest as a dancer i think the dancing was pretty messy and the fight in the background was sort of distracting. Also i think that using the only dancer to do flips across the room and do turns while the whole dance was pretty low level looked like a bit of a cheat and sort of unbalanced. Doing flips and turns shouldn’t really be the only thing really flashy about the dance but it is okay if you decided to do that. but also their poor feet when they were stomping in the jazz shoes (i just had to make the comment, it isn’t really important). It was good in all and i enjoyed it and i know it’s been like six years but just some constructive criticism.
