Dropped by Reel Rollers early Tuesday afternoon and met with both Lee and Issac for a demonstration on the Revolution. Let me tell you that thing is an absolute BEAST of a machine! What impressed me the most was their brutal honesty with me. Neither felt that this was the best choice for me at this time since I have never owner or operated a reel mower before. It's refreshing to see a business that places an emphasis on what is best for the customer over a sale, Lee felt that it was best for me to consider a smaller unit first such as a California Trimmer or a McLain use it for about a year or so before purchasing this unit, Heck he even recommended a dealer to me that specialized in rebuilt units. Now that's customer service!!!😜

I'm curious if the dealer mentioned here that specializes in rebuilt units has a site or online presence at all? The price to entry can be a big roadblock for those considering getting into reel mowing. Myself most definitely included.

@@brendongruis2335love to help, but not sure about rebuilt units. We do not sell rebuilt or used mowers. Facebook marketplace seems to be the place most folks go. At reel rollers we only sell new units.

We got blessed with 2 videos today?? 😍😍😍😍 Just my luck this comes out a couple months after I get my GM1000, But I love my 1000. Cant wait to see what Lee has in store with the hinting of a cartridge system in the future!! Then it would be easy to justify 2 reel mowers with my wife! haha

The Revolution is a really nice cut. I think some of the difference is that you've used the Toro longer and you're more comfortable with the machine. The Revolution cut was super nice, I'm considering purchasing it given the cost and quality of cut.

No doubt. I can run the GM with eyes closed. Not used to try Revolution. Still a great cutting mower.

Is there a plan in the future to make reels for the Reel Roller with a higher number of blades? I have a 10 blade Mclane Greenskeeper, and I can see a big difference between that, and the GK 7 blade reel. I like the higher number of blades per reel.

They both look really good at distance. I'm sure the GM is probably a better cut up very close but not really apples to apples with different clip rates. Hard to go wrong with either one it seems. Budget and hills seem to be top determining factors

How well does it handle when you aren't using the clutch bar? In other words, when it's in neutral does it push ok?

Seems to me the RR has a different diameter reel and a variable speed (separate from the drive speed?). These details to me seem to indicate that possibly more options to dial in on the RR and might be hard to compare reels based only on number of blades. Cut looks awesome for the RR to me.

The reel diameter is smaller than many residential reel mowers like the TruCut.

You look way more comfortable behind the Toro. You seem to be chasing the other mower. The Toro makes visibly crisper lines. Nonetheless, the Reel Rollers mower is a win for the American residential mower!

Love the videos, Ron! Are you going to compare the Revolution 26 with your Allett mower? I have a Greensmaster that I'm looking to replace (it's not easy to maintain or change the cut height). I like the cartridge system with Allett but it's more than twice the cost of the Revolution 26 (I'm looking at the 56v EGO). Thoughts?

Not really planning to compare them Jay because they're not the same. The Allett is more of a swiss army knife because it can do everything. Also given the price point of the C27 Evo, it's not really a meaningful comparison. Most people aren't going to drop 30k on a mower, associated cartridges and supporting equipment to run it. C27 Evo is an incredible machine but it's not a fair comparison to mower with different design ethos.

They're both great mowers. The Revolution 26 punches well above its weight IMO. People that get them won't be unhappy with the cut quality.

Full throttle. It's a slower moving mower than the Revolution or the Allett.

I was about to preorder one until I saw Lee (owner of reel rollers) talking unprovoked sh*t about Rolux. I was taken aback by how out of left field and childish that was, that is definitely someone I do not wish to do business with. I’ve never seen a reputable business man speak like that. My Swardman will do fine.
