I saw another chap mention this as a film making best buy. I had to look further, it seemed too darn good to be true. So thank you for this review. The audio quality was the last remaining question, you've answered that comprehensively. Subbed.

This is a cool mic 👍 I know it can record internally in 24-bit, do you know if it transmits to the receiver in 24-bit still? Or does it switch to a 16-bit transmission for wireless? 🤔

It does in fact switch to 16 bit when recording wireless. But i actually met with the product designer Kylin Wang this week in Las Vegas this past week and he showed me the new VM-40 that will not only record a 32 bit float internally/wireless but has a built in memory where it will record a back up track via memory card. To top it off it will record 2 channels so you can add a lav or a second shotgun mic. He was headed back to China today so i should get the copy of the product he is sending me in the next few weeks. Ill make sure to cover it at length after some test. Thanks for the comment!

Don't try using it with an iPhone as it continues recording through the internal mics.

If you get the Comica-branded lightning male to 3.5mm female audio cable, that problem is taken care of.
