I'm so happy for that guy, I broke my neck and have Spinal cord damage since 2019 I was paralyzed from the chest down but I've been improving, everyone whom I've met who suffered a spinal cord injury, we do everything we can to try and get most of our mobility back.

Just tremendous and so inspiring. It must be overwhelming to know you will never walk and then to be able to get around again by strapping on a “suit”. Thank God for giving these brains the ability to come up with these solutions. It takes a lot of courage to submit to what is required to learn to use it and to get strong enough mentally and physically. Great job to this husband and father- very brave and God Bless. Keep up the super work.

I first read about Exoskeleton from a comic book, the Amazing SpiderMan of the late 1960s to the 70s! Where Bossy, J. Jonah Jameson, CEO of the Daily Bugle, created a killer exoskeleton. At the end of the everytime they battled, of course SpiderMan winsss. These scientists have created a unique machine to help disabled walking people to make a go for it is amazing. Each year, technology advanced.

I have walked in rough splint type callipers for 65 years this March as I still do. I don't use any wheelchair or crutches, just a single stick now as I get older. I love the idea of this stair climbing auto walk device. It's a great idea. I usually have to heave myself up stairs until I reach the top. My one critical problem is that on polished smooth marble or floors that are wet, I often slip and fall. This can be very dangerous obviously, but as I walk using my right thigh muscles as the engine of my walking gait, and the weaker left leg as a fixed balance pivot, while I swing my right leg forwards, I'm finding it harder to find Orthotic engineers who know how to build decent callipers. I wore the old fashioned heal clipped callipers with pre-adjusted boots from the age of 4 years and by the time I reached 9 years of age, I stopped using sticks and rather ceremonially threw them on the November 5th Guy Fawkes bonfire in my home village in the year 1963. I always refused to use a wheelchair though I was given two, which being ignored one was passed to an elderly neighbour and the other rusted in my hut to nothing. In 1992 I was walking across the floor when my boss noticed blood running down my trouser legs. I almost always had abrasions and sores which I looked after myself after I left home to work as a welder, Blacksmith like my great Grandfather, though by then a Civil Servant. Subsequently, I was sent to an American specialist who informed me that my back upper thighs had 24inches and 18 inches right of subdermal damage. I was told to give up walking and use a chair, or give up working. I chose to continue to walk, and I fought with the NHS to get plastic Kaffoe type splints, and landed up in Dundee Hospital to receive yet another investigation into the cause of my Parapledia. Both legs had normal circulation as had my weaker left upper arm and shoulder. To date, 8 such investigations returned 8 very different results, all of them wrong in my view. Having given up work, my only support was my dear wife Sheila who has been the true rock of my life. Right now a kind young lady Orthotic engineer is finishing the final touches on a new pair of Kaffoe splints that are by far, probably the best and most comfortable pair that I've ever had. Financially I have been slightly better off not working as from the time I left School where my formal education was more or less ignored. My work was underpaid by a quarter or half what my peers were earning in the three jobs I had and we still raised two fine Children both Able Bodied. Our eldest is a Paramedic in training, while our younger Son is a lorry driver. I spent a long time getting an education in FE Colleges, University and the brilliant Open University based at Milton Keynes. At 16 I began my career as a Welder, Blacksmith and fitter, but as it was in a Blind Workshop the wages were a disgrace. I demanded parity with the other able fitter welders, but was refused. I walked out that day and the following Monday was in training to become an electronic technician. I worked for three years with the Mod at Marconi Space & Defence in Fife, but after a fall on spilt coffee I got hurt. They threatened me in an attempt to intimidate me, as the fault was theirs not mine. I left there and after some time struggling to get a fair deal on the jobs market. I was given a 6 months contract as a Civil Service Clerk, despite my growing number of qualifications from my studies. After three successful years with the Civil Service, and having only a partially sitting down job. It was there that my direct boss saw the blood which threatened my ability to walk. I was sorry to leave my job, but while I am proud of my ability to walk despite the high degree of Parapledia I suffer from. I accept it as a loving gift from God for many reasons. In my life I have seen too many things that defy medical prowess amongst the people that I have met and been friends with. So many faced such terrible experiences that I would surely quail at, yet they battled through to survive and thrive. I have no doubt that Gods Love and Mercy is a major component in their astounding healing. For me, I intend to thank my little wife and God, for his endless patience and mercy towards us, by taking our marriage Vows on the 4th of March on our 40th anniversary, down at Gretna Green over the Sacred Anvil, and finally wearing a Douglas Kilt in thanks to God and my Wee wife Sheila. After that, later in the month I will have been walking for 65 years in two full leg Callipers and Kaffoe splints. To be honest I would love the chance to try out the electronic bio-engineered walking aids shown in this stellar German Video. I can imagine that they would be as expensive as a brand new Porche or certainly much more perhaps, but a man can dream, can't he? I will pray that out there is someone who has the faith and the personal wealth to let me have a chance, just a single chance to try and walk like a real man in that marvelous device. With a device like that, wearing the kilt would be a positive advantage, though I'd need to practice driving in them heh heh. I did drive the UK invalid Carriage for 9 years. A death-trap if ever there was one. But at my elder brothers insistence I gave it up the year they were withdrawn from service, a disgrace to the Reputation of the AC sports car Company. Built entirely of fibre glass, a torgued 500cc flat twin auto engine with motor bike handle bars, no heater, no radio, no inner lining nor boot space, and every single UK model had the exact same key No FS880. So much for the security of invalid cars. I could write a book about them heh heh heh😵🙏🙏🙏🤪😳🙏😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂✝️

Perhaps try asking GPT to design a low-budget exoskeleton that could be build with easy to obtain parts by someone with limited mobility. Request a list with all the parts needed, and a step-by-step instructions manual to build it. Be specific in your request, so it can design it well and write proper script(s) for something like a cheap single-board computer.

@@freedomfreedomfreedom don’t rely on AI for everything, GPT is absolute woke garbage right now. I asked it to rate a paper, and it gave me a 4/10. The reason why it failed my paper? A bit of violence, and the paper claiming “a news anchor wouldn’t be a murderer”. When I got rid of the violence and the part about the killer being a news anchor, it immediately shot up to a 9/10. It’s bullshit, I wouldn’t trust GPT over bing.

Sing this technology is great to bad all the people who need this will never be able to afford it. THIS would be like buying a house for most who's income is limited and want to walk again

It's look too much heavy in wrest side.can it ware under the clothes? If it's a automatic system then Why patient need to use elbow crutch?

It is too bulky to wear it under the clothes and you need the crutches to hold balance and walk. When you lean forward, the ReWalk starts walking, when you lean a little backwards, it stops.

Sony is currently developing the Playstation 5 and billions of dollars are being poured into it's development... to play video games down the road. The company in this video, called Rewalk (a public company) can improve the life of paraplegics but it will eventually bite the dust because of a lack of financing to keep moving it forward... so frustrating... my thoughts are with all of you paraplegics, keep living your life as best as you can and keep the faith! Happy new year!
