It is happening in the United States, also. It simply breaks my heart. It is accelerating every few years. Even the area I grew up in was once wilderness. Now One can drive from Wisconsin to Chicago and not see any gap in development. Absolute mayhem, because many buildings end up empty. Parking lots are abandoned eventually. It's just pointless.

I so agree with you! I feel so sad every time I see wild green space being concreted over. We need to make rewilding a priority everywhere it is possible.

The balance with wolves is a good measure and hunting them should not be permitted as in Germany which suffers from to many grazing wild animals who multiply so much that even intensive hunting is unable to bring the necessary balance.

Wait for big herbivore populations

The wolf is already present in the region and bears are not so far away, they might return.

I've noticed several of these videos, people seem to be from other parts of Europe. Their accent is noticeably different. It seems like those are the ones resistant to what is happening. Trying to keep the gravy train going. Just my opinion, and I'm not from there. So I am probably wrong.

@@TeslaKuhn8 A lot of the other videos are in Romania. It sounds like Portuguese because it's also derived from Latin.

The only languages spoken in the viseo are Portuguse, Spanish, Dutch and English.

We have it, to a degree, in our Naional and State parks, there is quite of wilderness in the system. However, there are areas that do need rewilding due to over-urbanization.

In Yellowstone there are grizzly bears and black bears, no brown bears xD

@@JornSilverblade brown bears and grizzly bears are the same thing, brown is usually used for coastal bears and grizzly for inland bears, but they are the same species

@@sully9937 Grizzlys are a subspecies of brown bear, thats why i was joking. Every grizzly bear is also a brown bear on the species level, but not every brownbear is a grizzly. Maybe I'm just a bit too accurate.^^

@@JornSilverblade I see them to be more psuedo-sub species. No genetic variance, just environment. It's kind of like the Caspian and amur tiger, the same tiger but look and behave different due to being in separate environments.

Pois, mas agora eu sou obrigado a perguntar. Tu achas que as pessoas aceitariam perder as suas terras para a natureza sem ter nenhum lucro com isso (perdendo a única fonte de rendimento). E tu achas que mesmo quem vive longe aceita pagar impostos para proteger aí espécies sem fazer um único cêntimo? Tem que haver benefícios económicos em rewilding para encorajar a ideia. Agricultura sustentável, turismo e caça faria a economia da região diversa e sustentável Eu tenho as minhas dúvidas sobre este em especifico, pois o que parecia é que simplesmente abandonaram plantações antigas e chamaram isso de rewilding. Mas o turismo pode ser feito em zonas protegidas e naturais. Olha o turismo na Amazónia por exemplo. Desde de que seja feito com cuidado rewilding pode ser ambos lucrativo e bom para o ambiente. Tentar sacar dinheiro da natureza não é mau, faze-lo sem cuidado é que é.

Antes de mais nada, não tente colocar o resto de política e ideologias em ambientalismo Segundo, eu realmente concordo que o estado poderia ter maior controlo. Mas ter lucro vindo de atividades da natureza NÃO é mau. "Mas... Mas... A Ganância. Eles não querem saber da natureza, só do dinheiro". Sim, é daí? Enquanto proteger a natureza lhes der dinheiro podes ter a certeza de que o farão. Portanto procurar benefícios econômicos em atividades sustentáveis é uma prioridade. Ou acha que Portugal tem dinheiro para estar a esbanjar em tudo? Por acaso sabe o que é uma ONG? Mesmo elas se preocupam com o dinheiro das atividades para poder me continuar com suas ações. You misunderstood. You see hunting is a very Important part of conservation, it might sound contradictory but let me explain. Hunting is a heavily regulated activity, only a certain number of animals can be allowed to be hunted and only a certain number of hunting tages are handed out to various hunters who pay large sums to purchase said tags. By doing this the money they pay to hunt is put into conservation efforts and into keeping the animals in the reserve safe and well kept. They also can only hunt a certain number of animals so over hunting isn’t a worry, they also only will hunt fully grown and mature animals who have already passed on their gens. Not to mention the fact that they can only hunt certain animals during certain months of the year, so the population has time to recover.

the guy is hunting wild boar, which probably breed (crazy!) like pigs! too many pigs destroy the land, eating everything in sight! solution: kill the little, psychotic bastards!..... :-0
