Ninja made a big mistake by not torpedoing after the throw tech, he could have chipped sonic out..and did try to check Sonic.

@@juju5460 That wouldn't have worked because of last breath. Sonic still had 3 bars so if Sonic blocked it, it would've just taken a bar of meter and he still would've gotten the punish. The safer option is to check with a poke like Ninja did. No one's expecting you to out space PM's d3 like that and get a single hit whiff punish into fatal

@@haysan32 Exactly, d3 was what sonic was expecting after the dash in and out. Sonic knows ninja to the core, you can see after the throw tech he was trinna out space him, ninja could’ve thrown torpedo out there and won.

@@juju5460 You’re not weighing the risk reward enough, no reason to do torpedo in that situation and hang yourself out to dry unless you 100% know it’s gonna hit. Hindsight is 20/20, knowing what we know now, torpedo might’ve worked. But in the moment, there’s not a single pro player throwing out torpedo in that situation

I think Ninja's downfall with Peacemaker was that eagly. Not knowing the cool down time is a major problem.

What makes sonic so interesting to me is he really doesnt seem to care about what people think of him. He let ninja and others upload videos of them cooking him in casuals or KL. But when it comes to tournament, you can see the world class prep he puts in, dude becomes a different entity on stage

i think ninja should’ve switched tbh, i understand wanting to stay the same character the whole tournament and work through the pressure but only a few people are so good at adapting to each character with their character, and this is a matchup heavy game, he lost from main character pick and cameo it should’ve been seen from the first game tbh imo

Rewind, your strongest opponent is yourself. You have to defeat those tournament nerves. You always lose when you should win. Every time other pro players ask, who do you think is going to win the tournament and I say Rewind every time. Show the world who you are Rewind! Unleash the Beast! Goku vs Freeza.
