I bought one Kess clone last December and I don't take it out of the box yet. And now, after seeing your video I don't know what to do. There are too many components for solder, and even when I desolder an eeprom, there's always a resistor or another small piece that goes away, even with hot air blowing with minimum speed. I need to practice my skills. Thanks for sharing your work and knownledge.

You do know you actually missed the only major component that needs replaced on 99% of any kess pcb manufactured after 2016 , as all those reworked parts merely enhance the performance characteristics of that one single component. Don't believe me? well if you have a scope handy, scope the 8 MHz ceramic resonator that's used on all these production boards. You will more than likely see a frequency deviation of -0.16% to 0.3% of the 8MHZ needed clock signal (a low as 7.910mhz). Most reading problems are linked to this very component. The processor needs a signal of 8MHZ + up to 0.10%. The problem is that Ceramic deviation is usually 0.5% ( 5000 PPD ) where as a Quartz Crystal is usually 0.005% ( 50 PPD). Remove the Ceramic, and replace it with a 8mhz quartz such as your common 2 leg items you see, centre pad unused, orientation not important, hand solder in place, and without reworking any other single component you have made you knock off Kess 100% better than it ever was :)

Good morning, maybe I have not explained myself well, I know that fc200 does not do edc 15 but now it does 16. My question is if it could read edc16 c34 volvo c30 1.6d 2008? On the other hand, I have kees 2 original, it will be blocked due to an update to kees 3 within 15 days. If I use the nxp chip, would it work as a master clone? I have drivers of version kees 2.47 kees 2.47. Where can I load the latest drivers? I plan to buy a kees v3 and I have bought the original v2 with 14 days to try it comes from an update and it is going to block ar. any ideas to evite blocking? or should i convert to clone? Yoyo, just start offer this rework with professional installation for people which can not solder. They will be happy and you too. For other you share for free and they must appreciate. Who ever sale your pictures will stay never success because thinking small.
