This boss is the most "Taste the nature motherf*cker!" that I've ever seen. And this is perfect timing since I'm playing the mod atm.

The first phase feels unnecessary both mechanically and thematically. But this still seems like an improvement over the old Lifebringer overall.

There are many things in this fight that just make you go "why was this even put here". For example, the green tint overlay on the screen just makes the entire area look irradiated and smoggy instead of signifying "look at how full of VITALITY, LIFE and NATURE this place is". Everything just seems so disconnected and inconsistent visuals-wise that it kinda deters from the entire fight. Though his variety of attacks is quite commendable 👍

I can see what they were going for with this guy, but this boss is honestly an eye-sore. It has so many weird choices in terms of visuals, and you can see exactly how much effort was put into each individual asset. The boss seems very gimmicky, too much so for me to really judge how good it is from a video alone. That being said: The first worms did feel a bit like filler.

yeah the boss feels like it's really having an identity crisis and trying to be like 4 different bosses at once and none of it really ends up working all that well

@@cognitiveAfflatus Agreed. I am a big fan of bosses that are grand in scale and have several phases and all, but it just doesn't work too well here. The pillars, main worm and tree just feel detached from each other.

This boss… The fight is way too complex for no reason, while attacks are cool screens are way too cluttered with shit which makes it confusing. I dont get the parts where the boss stops and you need to hit its tail and the final stage feels unnecessary. I know a lot of work went into this, but if you want to make a cool worm boss it doesnt have to be too complex. gigapora and convective wanderer are really simple and great.

I do like complex bosses, but this really isn't it. I do complex through things like gimmicks that require the player to think differently or interact with the boss in new ways, rather than adding tons of more phases or special transformations. I do see the vision with the weak points, but they also seem to kill the pacing of the fight.

As someone else said, the worms straight up look like they have the arbiter pillars from lobotomy corp, though that’s what they appear as to me (the structure and the words on the pillars look eerily similar)

Interesting fact, when it's health reaches zero, it still deals contact damage during it's death animation, I should know because I died to it once
