Any buff to Shatter would be a godsend. With this, my favorite, Rosaria (being an excellent cryo applicator as well as her physical shred) would be more popular.

Interesting idea. Honestly, I think it should be done. What you've said is a tiny change that doesn't completely overhaul the current system. I know that gameplay doesn't have to always match the lore, but it would be nice to see Chongyun have amazing synergy with Xingqiu. I don't really play as Chongyun, but I've heard that he's great with on-field DPS Kaeya and Rosaria. I think the reason he's underrated is because there aren't really any five star cryo on-field DPS that's synergizes well with him. I mean, there's Qiqi and I would like to try that out sometime. But still.

I posted the same idea, but made it an additive reaction instead of amplifying. The analysis is almost exactly same as yours but I made shatter-melt a thing but had its flat bonus have lower multiplier (like how aggravate and spread have different multipliers).

Yes, the complicated steps to shatter the enemies should result in a higher number in dmg. Changing to amplifying is an interesting take though. For me personally, if I was to steer in this direction, I'd love to see it works like hyperbloom or burgeon, also a 3 step reaction, also a transformative reaction, but their numbers are ridiculously high, and it should be the same for shatter. In that regard, there should also be limiters like maximum 5 enemies can be frozen simultaneously, and shatter can only cause 2 instances of dmg every 0.5s, you know, basically it's hyperbloom but with frozen enemies 😂 This way Geo characters can start building full EM and it unironically will buff their crystalized shields 😂 there's also superconduct to shred the resistance so it's perfect. Oh and the fact that there's hyperfridge team comps already, now imagine shatter and hyperbloom going off in the same team😂 Chongyun's value will be off the roof

think candace would be a good em built candidate for this? her normal attack shield smack is a heavy hit, so em so maybe its worth building her for shatterbloom shenanigans? candace rosaria kaveh dmc? feel like it would be fun to play with and will try it later lol
