Headcanon for this video Zim is an invader in training and asks for a chance to prove himself. The Tallests, actually caring about Zim, want him to be one, but aren't sure he could handle the upcoming plan. So, they sent him to a planet as far away as possible to keep him safe, incase Operation: Impending Doom backfires. Telling him that if he can conquer Earth successfully, Zim can rejoin the Armada and participate in the operation. While Zim is on Earth, he meets and falls in love with Dib, who may still be obsessed with revealing what Zim really is. Eventually, Dib himself falls for Zim. Zim refuses because he has a mission, even though he would rather be with Dib, he feels he can not betray his people. Dib may be trying to convince Zim that it doesn't matter what the Tallest say, he wants to be with Zim as much as Zim wants to be with him. Which than leads to this song.
